My
favorite holiday memory is not from one specific Christmas but from
many – each year we traveled from our home (several homes as we lived
all over Wisconsin) to my grandfather’s home for Christmas. Grandpa had
to work 3-11pm shift every Christmas Eve. I loved getting to stay up
late and wait for him to get home to open our presents. Then we went to
bed and Santa came during the nights with more gifts left under the
tree (they were unwrapped). This is one of my most vivid memories from
my childhood.
