Kelly Lunceford steps outside her usual palette with this elegant floral card, proving that unexpected color combinations can create stunning results. 🌼✨ Rich Terracotta Tile pairs beautifully with cool Ocean Tides, creating a sophisticated backdrop for delicate blooms, layered foliage, and a beautifully foiled frame. The soft floral arrangement draws the eye to the heartfelt “You Are My Happy Place” sentiment, while subtle shimmer and dimension add the perfect finishing touches to this thoughtful handmade design.
Kelly shares, “I have been making a concerted effort to get out of my color comfort zone and try new combinations! When this particular palette presented itself, I knew I wanted to try it out! I love how the warmth of the Terracotta Tile plays against the coolness of Ocean Tides!”
STEP 1: Cut an A2 panel of Terracotta Tile card stock and add the pierced detailing around the edge. Add the same color ink around the corners. Attach it to an A2 card base using liquid glue.
STEP 2: Foil a panel of Ocean Tides card stock using champagne foil. Add the same color ink around the edges and attach to the card base using foam squares.
STEP 3: Cut a mat from Saffron Spice cardstock and another mat from Vintage Cream. Stamp the sentiment in black on the Vintage Cream mat. Attach them to the card using foam squares.
STEP 4: Cut and color the flowers and foliage. Spritz them all with fossilized amber distress oxide spray. Attach them to the card using foam squares.
STEP 5: Add glitter to the flowers and foliage.
STEP 6: Add a trio of sparkling clear sequins.
