Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with another Project Inspiration project to share with you today!! Who says you have to wait until December to enjoy Christmas crafting? Christmas in July is the perfect excuse to pull out your favorite holiday supplies, experiment with festive layers, and get a head start on your handmade cards. For today’s project, I combined a vintage airmail theme with a beautifully layered poinsettia, postage-inspired details, and touches of gold to create a card that feels like a special holiday letter arriving from afar. It’s a fun mix of classic Christmas charm and nostalgic mail art that’s sure to inspire your seasonal crafting—even in the middle of summer!!

Supplies

Stamps: Stacked Mail, Trees ‘N Patterns

Dies: Stacked Mail, Into the Blooms: Poinsettia, North Pole Mail Postage Frame Post Card, Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet

Stencils: Stacked Mail, Postage

Ink: Scarlet Jewel, Blueberry Sky, Ripe Avocado

Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Blueberry Sky, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse

Other supplies: Vintage Photo Distress Ink, brown dye ink, Versamark, gold embossing powder, brushed gold cardstock, Trinity Stamps Champagne Twinkle gems, gold watercolor paint, liquid glue, foam tape

Step 1: Stencil the Stacked Mail and Postage Stencil Sets onto a panel of Vintage Cream cardstock with Blueberry Sky, Scarlet Jewel, Ripe Avocado inks and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Splatter with diluted gold watercolor paint.

Step 2: Die-cut the largest die in the North Pole Mail Postage Frame Post Card Die Set from Blueberry Sky cardstock and adhere with foam tape.

Step 3: Die-cut the letters from the Stacked Mail Die Set from Vintage Cream cardstock. Stencil the top layer with Scarlet Jewel and Blueberry Sky inks using the Stacked Mail Stencil Set. Lightly ink the edges and distress the layers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and splatter with diluted gold watercolor paint. Stamp the postage stamp and postmark from the Stacked Mail Stamp Set onto Vintage Cream cardstock with Scarlet Jewel, Ripe Avocado, Blueberry Sky and brown ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Die-cut the twine die and bow from Vintage Cream cardstock, stamp with Versamark ink, then emboss with gold embossing powder. Stamp the sentiment from the Trees ‘N Patterns Stamp Set with Ripe Avocado ink. Adhere all die-cuts with liquid glue, then stamp the cancellation over the postage stamp and postmark with brown ink. Adhere to the background with liquid glue.

Step 4: Die-cut the Into the Blooms: Poinsettia from Pure Poppy cardstock and brushed gold cardstock and add Scarlet Jewel ink to the center of each red layer. Die-cut the leaves from the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die Set from Simply Chartreuse cardstock and add shading with Ripe Avocado ink. Adhere layers together with liquid glue, splatter with diluted gold watercolor paint, then pop up with foam tape.

Step: 5: Pop up the gold embossed bow with small piece of foam tape.

Step 6: Adhere a twinkle gem to the center of the poinsettia and scatter additional gems diagonally across the card.

I hope this Christmas in July card inspires you to start your holiday crafting a little early!! Whether you’re creating cards for family and friends or simply enjoying some festive creativity in the middle of summer, it’s never too soon to spread a little Christmas cheer. Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting!!
