TIPS: 

  • Create a thicker “YOU” die for a stronger statement on the card by die-cutting multiple “YOU” die cuts and stacking and gluing them together. Add the one stamped die cut to the top.
  • Use a pattern paper over a solid cardstock to create a bold tag with a pocket.
  • Use multiple bold pattern papers, such as stripes and polka dots together to create contrast and interest on the card front.
  • Use a white ink pen and a ruler centered over the stitching holes to draw white lines through the stitching holes of the tag for faux white stitching around the perimeter.

    Melissa’s “Especially for You” card has me in a hold! She is extraordinarily talented and I am particularly attracted to the color way, use of textures and the details (down to the pearl on the heart!) of this card!

    I love the use of pattern paper throughout many of the designs. It can add so much to a card. And I love the use of tags, too. I guess, if I had to choose a favorite, it would be MarDi Rembold’s card. I has the look of “Folk Art” to me and although it is very busy, I just love it!

    Once again, it’s hard to choose a favorite. But I found myself attracted to Melody Rupple’s card with the layered stitched hearts. The simplicity of it was perfect. I find simpler layouts/designs difficult to do. Nice job, Melody! And the stitched dies are so much nicer than just plain hearts!

    Love MarDi’s heart card! It reminds me of something you’d see with Mary Englebreit (spelling?)all that fun color. I also liked Melody’s tag card. Great work all around!

    Great release. Really loving Melissa Phillips Forever thankful for you. There was just something about the colours and florals that just tugged at my heart and kept drawing my eyes to it.

    I love Bobbi Lemanki’s “You” card that also utilizes the hearts and flowers! The red embossed background really showcases the sentiment and the arrangement of the hearts & flowers!! Nice & bright, it’s a real eye-catcher!
