Melissa Phillips sets sail with this charming Warm Hello Card, blending soft seaside hues with layered dimension for a design that feels both relaxed and refined. 🌊⛵ Using the Build-A-Sailboat dies as her focal point, she creates a masculine-inspired card complete with gently ink blended arches, rolling ocean waves, and crisp die cut details. The combination of Classic Kraft, airy blues, and subtle splatter adds texture and movement, making this birthday greeting feel fresh and thoughtfully crafted.
Melissa shares, “It’s always fun to have an excuse to create a masculine card and pick from the many different products Papertrey Ink has to offer. I chose to use the Build-A-Sailboat dies to create a card for a special guy.”
STEP 1: Die cut card front and add ink blended Love to Layer: Arches to the center.
STEP 2: Die cut ocean waves, lightly blend with Spring Rain ink, and adhere across bottom of card.
STEP 3: Die cut and assemble sailboat, using dimensional adhesive to adhere to center of card.
STEP 4: Stamp sentiment oval die cut and adhere on left. Add die cut clouds.
STEP 5: Die cut and adhere seagulls, sequins, and add Crystal Stickles glitter to finish.
This project is a wonderful reminder that masculine cards can be full of personality, depth, and thoughtful detail. ⚓✨ From the dimensional sailboat to the softly blended sky and sparkling accents, each layer works together to create a cohesive seaside design.
Whether you are crafting for a birthday or sending a warm hello just because, let this card inspire you to explore texture and movement in your own creations.
