Project Inspiration: Mom’s Kitchen Card by Melissa Phillips

March 19, 2026      Winnie Cate Ignacio      3 Comments

Melissa Phillips brings warmth and charm to her Mom’s Kitchen Card, a delightful design inspired by the heart of the home. 🍰💐 Using the Mom’s Kitchen stamps and dies, she creates a cozy scene filled with a classic mixer, sweet treats, and floral accents, all set against a custom stenciled wallpaper background. The layered vellum frame, soft color palette, and detailed die cuts come together to create a bright and inviting kitchen vignette that feels both nostalgic and full of love.

Melissa shares, “With Mother’s Day approaching, I couldn’t wait to pull out my Mom’s Kitchen stamps and dies and create something special. I’ve used stencils combined with stamps to create my own custom wallpaper to accent my bright and bold kitchen.”

SHOP THE FULL SUPPLIES HERE!

STEP 1:  Use the Dotted Diamonds Stencil and Pale Peony ink to create step 1 of the wallpaper.

STEP 2:  Stamp flowers and stems from Mom’s Kitchen in the center of each diamond.

STEP 3:  Cut a strip of patterned paper and adhere across bottom of card.  Cut out kitchen counter and drawers, stamp with Weathered Wood background and adhere above patterned paper.

STEP 4:  Cut bracket from vellum and adhere to center of card.  Die cut and stamp sign and shelf and adhere to card.

STEP 5:  Die cut and stamp kitchen mixer, vase and flowers, and cake and adhere to kitchen counter.

STEP 6:   Stamp sentiment on Double Ended Banner and adhere across bottom of card.  Add die cut flowers and jar of honey.  Embellish with adhesive pearls and Stickles Crystal glitter to finish.

This project is a beautiful reminder that everyday moments—like time spent in the kitchen—can be transformed into meaningful handmade creations. 💕 From the custom stenciled wallpaper to the layered kitchen elements and thoughtful sentiment, every detail adds personality and heart to the design. Whether you’re crafting for Mother’s Day or simply celebrating someone special, this card is full of inspiration for creating something truly heartfelt.
