With Spring comes couples’ engagements, bridal showers and wedding bells! I love a beautiful wedding and I love to make cards filled with the celebration of love. This month’s release includes all the “love” you need to make beautiful cards suited for weddings, showers, engagements and Valentine’s Day! My 5″ X 7″ card features the following Papertrey Ink products:

Build-A-Bouquet Dies

In Frames: Big & Tall Rectangles dies

Big Inside Greetings stamps and dies

This is Big Sentiments: Definitions of Love Stamp Set

This card is 5″ X 7″ and uses a white card base made from Stamper’s Select White cardstock. Here are the step-by-step details for creating this card made for a special couple!

STEP ONE: Die cut and emboss the following items:

A7 stitched frame rectangle from Lost Shadow cardstock using the In Frames: Big & Tall Rectangles dies

A7 stitched frame rectangle from Dark Indigo cardstock using the In Frames: Big & Tall Rectangles dies

Flowers, leaves, bows, ribbons from metallic gold, metallic silver, white and vanilla cream cardstock using the Build-A-Bouquet Dies. Using Copic Sketch markers, add detailing to the florals with shading using W1, W3, and a gold, Y28.

Stamp in Versamark, emboss in gold metallic powder and die cut the sentiment from the Big Inside Greetings stamps and dies.

STEP 2: Stamp the “Love” definition from the This is Big Sentiments: Definitions of Love Stamp Set using metallic gold ink on the stitched interior of the In Frames: Big & Tall Rectangles dies cut from Lost Shadow.

Splatter white acrylic paint and metallic gold watercolor paint over the center die cut.

Attach the indigo blue frame and lost shadow rectangle to the front of a white card base.

STEP 3: Attach the metallic antique gold stems to the front of the stitched rectangle. Add additional individual stems to the front to make it look fuller and dimensional. Add a white and ivory bow and/or ribbon wrap to the front. Note: You’ll see the wrap in later photos. Consider adding additional bows to make the bow larger and more dimensional.

Attach the sentiment to the front of the card at the bottom using foam tabs to make it stand out.

STEP 4: Add die cut leaves to the top of the bouquet, defining the bouquet’s size and shape.

STEP 5: Attach the white and ivory florals, adding foam tabs the to the backs of the large roses. This provides some depth and dimension to the bouquet.

STEP 6: Attach pearl gem stickers (ivory) to the floral wrap, centers of roses (gold metallic) and around the bouquet for an elegant look.
