Melissa Phillips brings the magic of Christmas to life with her Sweet Holiday Wishes card, a charming gingerbread house that looks almost good enough to eat! 🍬 With soft pastels, candy-colored details, and a sprinkle of glittery snow, this design perfectly captures the cozy whimsy of the season.

 

Melissa shares, “Papertrey Ink’s Gingerbread House dies are my most favorite for the holidays! There are so many inspiring elements to use in a variety of different ways. Follow along as I use this collection in my own, festive way.”

SUPPLIES

STAMPS:  Let it Snow, Sweet Orange Holidays 
INK:  Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, Olive Twist 
PAPER:  Vintage Cream, Kraft
DIES:  Gingerbread House, Love to Layer:  Playful Scallops, North Pole Mail:  Candy Cane Frame Post Card
OTHER:  white paint, Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber, and  Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spritz, Merry Mint and Shiny Bauble Mica Stain, sequins, Crystal Stickles glitter, patterned paper

STEP 1: Cut house from pink patterned paper.

STEP 2: Cut gingerbread house elements from Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock.  Adhere scalloped roof, upper window, and door.

STEP 3: Spritz gumdrop circles with 4 different colors and adhere to roof.  Adhere shingles to roof.

STEP 4: Adhere arch over doorway, side windows, and heart.

STEP 5: Cut scalloped circle and sponge Aqua Must over upper half.  Splatter with Distress Spritz.

STEP 6: Adhere gingerbread house to center of oval.

STEP 7: Cut front of card from Vintage Cream cardstock.  Stamp snowflakes in Aqua Mist ink and sentiment in Olive Twist.  Splatter with Distress Spritz.

STEP 8: Adhere gingerbread house and die cut trees.  Splatter with white paint.

STEP 9: Finish with die cut snowflakes, sequins, and Crystal Stickles glitter.

Melissa’s project is a perfect reminder that Christmas crafting should be as joyful and imaginative as the season itself. 🎁 Whether you choose soft candy tones or traditional holiday hues, the Gingerbread House dies offer endless ways to create something sweet and full of personality.
