Kelly Lunceford’s From Our Home to Yours card captures the heart of the holidays with its charming layered design and cozy, postal-inspired details. The soft shimmer, candy cane border, and snow-dusted house scene create a warm, heartfelt greeting that feels like sending a little piece of Christmas cheer through the mail.

Kelly shares, “I always love a postal-themed project or card and then when you add Christmas to the mix: pure holiday magic! This card is full of depth, dimension, and color brought to life with stencils, stamps, and dies! I love mixing and matching different supplies until I achieve the desired vision!”

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: From Our Home to Yours
Ink: Pinefeather, Simply Chartreuse, Vintage Photo distress ink, Scarlet Jewel, Fresh Snow, Ocean Tides, Pale Peony, Aqua Mist, True Black
Paper: Ocean Tides, Stamper’s Select White, vellum
Dies: North Pole Mail: Candy Cane Frame Post Card, Love to Layer: Alluring Brackets, North Pole Mail: Postage Stamp Frame Post Card, Bring Home the Holidays, Into the Blooms: Holly, From Our Home to Yours
Other: Show Your Stripes Stencil Collection, Winter Foliage Stencil Collection, white acrylic paint, shimmer spray, fossilized amber distress spray, colored adhesive pearls, shimmer spray

Step 1: Use the Show Your Stripes Stencil Collection around the edges of an A2 white card base using Scarlet Jewel ink. Cut it out using the North Pole Mail: Candy Cane Frame Post Card Die and attach panel to an A2 top-folding white card base.

Step 2: Cut an A2 panel of Ocean Tides cardstock and then use the Winter Foliage Stencil Collection. Use Pinefeather and Simply Chartreuse ink for the pine needles, Scarlet Jewel for the berries, Vintage Photo distress ink for the branches and flower centers, Ocean Tides for the other foliage, and Fresh Snow for the white portions. Use a white gel pen to add white accents to the berries. Trim the panel down to fit within the embossed portions of the candy cane frame.

Step 3: Using the largest die included in the Love to Layer: Alluring Brackets Die Collection, cut a piece of vellum and adhere it using foam squares. Keep the arrangement near the center for the next step.

Step 4: Create the postage stamp collage by first die cutting the outer portion using the North Pole Mail: Postage Stamp Frame Post Card. Use the smallest die and cut it from white cardstock. Cut the snow drifts, trees, stars, and house from white using the Bring Home the Holidays Die. Trim a panel of white cardstock to fit nicely inside the embossed dot detail on the postage stamp. Add some Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides ink to the top and then added the snowdrifts using foam squares. The trees are colored with Pale Peony ink. Add the remaining pieces and then give it a snowy look by adding some white acrylic paint splatter. Add a few red pearls for whimsy.

Step 5: Die cut the holly using the Into the Blooms: Holly Die from white cardstock. Color the leaves using Ocean Tides and Pinefeather ink. The berries are colored with Pure Poppy and Scarlet Jewel ink. Use a brown marker to color the little brown details. Spritz everything with Fossilized Amber Distress Spray and shimmer spray. Tuck the leaves and berries here and there using foam squares.

Step 6: die cut the sentiment from Ocean Tides cardstock and then stamp it using the From Our Home to Yours Stamp set using black ink. Attach it to the bottom using foam squares.

Kelly’s design is a wonderful reminder of how handmade cards can bring warmth and connection across any distance. 💌

Whether you’re creating for family, friends, or neighbors, a thoughtful sentiment and a few festive details can make your holiday greetings truly special.
