TIPS: 

  • Add a distressed, aged feel to your card by lightly sponging Antique Linen Distress Ink around the edges of your die cut pieces.
  • Splatter Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz over the surface of your card using a paint brush to further emphasize the distressed look.

  • Create a frame using a smaller die cut in a panel then raise the panel frame using foam tape to create added dimension and texture.

    They are all wonderful, but my favorites were Melissa’s vellum/linen card and Bobbi’s deeper red and green colored one. I had a hard time picking between them.

    They’re similar in overall layout, but have vastly different styles. Today, I like Melissa’s delicate design.

    My favorite project is the very last card, made by Liane Hodges. I love the alcohol ink background, the blue and green colors used, the snow drop die cuts and the sentiment chosen. I feel the card really pops!

    Bonni Lemanski’s festive trees card has a wonderful color combination to make that Happy Holidays pop. And Liane Hodges’s watercolor and splatter work on those flowers creates a dreamy holiday greeting. I love how delicate these flowers are, allowing designers to tuck them into the background or make a central statement with them.

    Both of the Melissa cards are lovely. I really like the beige and gold leaf framed tree. So many lovely layers paired with the vellum and ribbon make a truely gorgeous card. Both of the Melissa cards are lovely.
