There’s something so special about the Build-An-Angel Die Set by Papertrey Ink—it’s a true holiday gem! With its customizable wing and body-size options, you can always create a unique angel.

For today’s project, designer Bobbi Lemanski, paired this set with a few favorite dies and stamps to craft a sophisticated 5” x 7” card that radiates peace and joy.

Follow along and see how to create this timeless holiday card step by step.

Step 1: Prepare Your Card Base and Elements

•Cut a piece of Stamper’s Select White Cardstock to 10” wide x 7” tall. Fold it in half to create a 5” x 7” card base.

•Stamp the “Peace and Joy” sentiment from the The Bigs Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set using VersaMark Ink on white cardstock, and emboss it with silver embossing powder.

•Die cut the sentiment using the coordinating The Bigs Christmas Sentiments Die Set.

•Die cut the Border Bling: Framed in Nature Die from Soft Stone Cardstock.

•Die cut the largest panel from the Love to Layer: Soft Ridges Die Set using Sweet Blush Cardstock.

•Die cut the angel’s body from Stamper’s Select White Cardstock. For a two-piece outfit, die cut an additional piece to layer.

•Die cut the angel’s wings and halo from silver metallic cardstock. Attach the halo to the angel.

Step 2: Create Your Card Base Layers

•Splatter the Love to Layer: Soft Ridges Die panel with white paint using a fan brush for a snowy, wintery effect.

•Center and attach the splattered panel to the Border Bling: Framed in Nature Die. Adhere this assembled frame to the card base.

Step 3: Assemble and Add Details

•Attach the wings to the angel’s body. Using a Copic Sketch Marker R81, add soft pink accents to the angel’s dress for a pop of color.

•For a polished look, die cut another half-angel piece from white cardstock and layer it over the angel’s base to conceal the waistline.

•Use foam tabs to adhere the angel to the center of the card.

•Add the embossed “Peace and Joy” sentiment to the angel, also using foam tabs for dimension.

This angelic card is the perfect blend of elegance and holiday cheer.

Whether you’re crafting cards for loved ones or creating keepsakes for yourself, this project showcases the versatility of Papertrey Ink’s stunning dies and stamps.
