Create a Merry & Bright Christmas card using our delightful Deerest Blessings stamps and dies. Our designer Brenda Noelke works her magic once again with stencils, dies, and stamps, each perfectly selected for the holidays. Follow along as she explains each step in her creative process.
Note: A full list of supplies and links are available at the bottom of the post.
Brenda says, “I just love the Deerest Blessings Stamp Set and couldn’t wait to use it again!! Aren’t those antlers to die for?!? As much as I love non-traditional colors for Christmas cards, traditional red and green just does it for me every time!!”
Step 1: Stencil the Winter Foliage Stencil onto white cardstock using Simply Chartreuse, Honey Nut, Pinefeather and Pure Poppy inks. Trim panel slightly, die-cut with the Handmade Quilt Cover Plate Die, then adhere to an A2 panel of Pure Poppy cardstock.
**Note: Our Build-A-Snowflake Stencil Collection is a wonderful substitution for the Winter Foliage Stencil Collection.
Step 2: Die-cut Ocean Tides cardstock with the largest die in the Love to Layer: Soft Ridges Die Set. Blend Pinefeather ink around the edges and splatter with diluted white bleed-proof ink. Once the ink is dry, insert Pure Poppy Swiss Dots 5/8″ Satin Ribbon through the slits in the sides of the Soft Ridges Die, adhere to the background and adhere the ribbon to the back of the panel.
Note: Our Love to Layer: Alluring Brackets dies are a perfect substitution for the Love to Layer: Soft Ridges dies.
Step 3: Die-cut pearlescent white cardstock with the Love to Layer: Soft Ridges Die and hand cut the top edge to create a snow bank. Adhere to the bottom of the Ocean Tides die-cut.
Step 4: Stamp the images from the Deerest Blessings Stamp Set with Honey Nut, Classic Kraft, Simply Chartreuse, Pinefeather and Pure Poppy inks. Die-cut with the Coordinating Dies and adhere to the front of the card.
Step 5: Stamp the large sentiment from the This Is Big Sentiments: Merry Christmas Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Pure Poppy ink.
Die-cut the sentiment with the Coordinating Die, along with another layer from Pinefeather cardstock. Stack the layers and adhere together, slightly offset, then adhere to the front of the card.
Stamp the sub-sentiment (also from the This Is Big Sentiments: Merry Christmas Stamp Set) onto white cardstock with Pinefeather ink, trim into a narrow banner and pop up under the large sentiment with foam tape.
Step 6: Add red gem to the deer’s nose to finish.
