Hi everyone! Penny here, and I’m thrilled to bring you this week’s Project Inspiration featuring the Larger Than Life: Love Sentiments and Corner Decor stamp and die sets. This card showcases how versatile alphabet dies can be for custom greetings, whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, expressing your love, or simply sending a heartfelt “thinking of you” message.
This card is brought to life by designer Kelly Lunceford with layers of floral elegance, intricate details, and a touch of shimmer. Let’s dive into the step-by-step process to create this masterpiece!
Step 1:
Foil the background using the Ornate Swirl Hot Foil Plate with Rose Gold foil. Trim the panel to 4” x 5 1/4” and glue it onto a top-folding A2 card base.
Step 2:
Using the Love to Layer: Garnished Edges Die, cut the middle-sized layer from Pale Peony Cardstock and the largest layer from Stamper’s Select White Cardstock. Adhere them to the card using foam squares for added dimension.
Step 3:
Stamp a sentiment from the Larger Than Life: Love Sentiments set onto a strip of white cardstock. Notch the edges with scissors for a decorative touch, and adhere it to the middle of the card using foam squares. Add the die-cut “LOVE” letters along the top and bottom of the sentiment using tiny strips of foam tape.
Step 4:
Die cut flowers using the Into the Blooms: Wreath Die and Into the Blooms: Spring Nest Die. Use blending brushes to color the flowers with inks in Scarlet Jewel, Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, and Raspberry Fizz. Arrange and adhere the flowers around the sentiment for a lush focal point.
Step 5:
Die cut leaves using coordinating dies and color them with New Leaf and Ripe Avocado inks. Arrange them around the flowers for added texture and elegance.
Step 6:
Add adhesive pearls and sequins to bring in extra sparkle and detail.
Step 7:
Die cut and stamp the corner details using the Corner Decor Die and coordinating stamps with Blueberry Sky Ink. Add the corners to the card using foam squares.
Step 8:
Lightly spritz the entire card with shimmer spray for a subtle glow. Add glitter to the flowers and leaves to finish the design.
