Penny here again with you today and I am so excited to show off our lovely, new Christmas products. You’ll love our enchanting Sparkling Tree Hot Foil Plate and coordinating die that allows you to die cut your tree separate from your background. Also, our new Line It Up: Christmas dies are sure to be a customer favorite. They make creating so easy, effortless, and versatile.
Let’s have a look at what our featured designers created for us today, starting with Kelly’s beautiful creations.
Can you imagine receiving this stunning Christmas card in the mail? I absolutely love Kelly’s use of our Tropical Teal cardstock paired with silver foil. The tiny die cut stars scattered across the card are included in the coordinating Sparkling Tree die set. What an unforgettable creation and one that can easily be mass produced for your holiday cards.
Notice how Kelly tied in the silver foil used on her tree with our Line It Up: Christmas die, cut from silver cardstock. Don’t you love how the tree lifts from the background? Such wonderful depth and dimension. Her secondary sentiment stamped across the bottom of her card is from our This is Big Sentiments: Merry Christmas stamp set. It ties everything together so perfectly!
TIPS:
- Heat the Sparkling Tree Hot Foil Plate for 25 seconds on the hottest setting for perfect results.
- For a tone on tone look, foil the tree with the same color cardstock as your background.
- There is a coordinating die for the star at the top so you can switch up the look.

Kelly’s next card is so unique and creative. I love the design and layout, don’t you? And, that color combination is WOW! I love how Kelly paired Ripe Avocado and Weathervane. With pops of Pure Poppy and white, this card is a keeper!
A technique I’d love to try is how Kelly tucked berries and greens from our Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs, under the top and bottom edges of her Line It Up: Christmas die cut. Her simple Fa La La sentiment is perfectly placed across the front of her card. Delightful!
TIPS:
- Offset the focal panel just slightly to allow the sentiment to reach the edge of the card base.
- Sometimes it’s fun to only use a word die rather than a stamped sentiment.
- Try using two or three ink colors on your foliage for a more realistic look.

Kelly’s final card might just be my favorite. In true Kelly style, she has combined our Sparkling Tree Hot Foil Plate and die, cut and foiled in red, with our Line It Up: Christmas die, Love to Layer: Soft Ridges die, The Bigs: Christmas Sentiments stamps and dies, and our beloved Fanciful Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate. What a feast for the eyes!
The first thing I noticed about Kelly’s card is her tone on tone Sparkling Tree. It looks so elegant in Pure Poppy and really takes center stage. Her Happy Holidays Line It Up: Christmas die cut is so beautifully done in silver and is perfectly finished off with berries and greens cut using our The Bigs: Christmas Sentiments stamps and dies. I love how versatile Papertrey Ink products are and how they work together so well.
TIPS:
- Metallic cardstock has a tendency of curling; glue it on top of the same diecut cut from white cardstock for a more sturdy piece.
- Use red foil on red card stock for a beautiful result.
- Don’t hesitate to try using some stamped foliage to accent the foiled tree.

Our new Deerest Blessings stamps and dies were inspired by a beautiful Christmas vignette done in gold and white, complete with an enchanting reindeer with magical, curled antlers, and accented by metallic bottlebrush trees and dangling stars. What fun this new set of products is to create with! I instantly fell in love with it after seeing it for the first time.
Notice how Melissa heat embossed her antlers using gold embossing powder. And both of her bottlebrush trees were cut from Ocean Tides cardstock and heat embossed using Shabby Aqua and Shabby Pink embossing enamel. The playful snowflakes and stars add such perfect accents to the scenes you can create using this wonderful new stamp set. You’ll absolutely adore the sweet sentiments and fonts used too!
TIPS:
- To create a subtle, snowy feel, use our Fanciful Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate with aqua foil over Vintage Cream cardstock.
- Melissa used white embossing powder on Kraft cardstock to create an elegant white and gold reindeer, perfect for the holidays.

Melissa’s next card uses our playful and versatile This is Big Sentiments: Merry Christmas stamps and dies. You’ll find two large Merry Christmas sentiments and dies in this set that can be used on their own or paired with a large variety of secondary sentiments. Who would’ve thought there were so many different ways to wish others a Merry Christmas? It’s so fun to pick and choose which you’ll use for your holiday cards this year.
Notice how Melissa layered her This is Big Sentiments: Merry Christmas over a bottlebrush tree from the Deerest Blessings stamp set. She’s created layers to highlight her focal point using our new Love to Layer: Soft Ridges and Love to Layer: Ovals dies. They pair so perfectly together!
TIPS:
- Create added depth to you background by stenciling snowflakes from the Spectacular Snowflakes Stencil Collection using Scarlet Jewel ink over Pure Poppy cardstock.
- Don’t be afraid to mix metallics. Melissa has used splatters of gold spritz with a silver Christmas tree base, and they pair perfectly together for the holidays.

I love Bobbi’s starry night created using the Deerest Blessings stamps and dies. The gold embossed snowflakes and star look like they’re glittering on a dark, winter’s night. I love how the tiny reindeer looks as if it is looking up into the sky. Her layered snowdrifts and bottlebrush trees create such beautiful layers and help build her scene.
