Cozy up in a blanket, add some spice to your hot cider, and let’s take a look at what our featured designers created for us today. We’ll begin with our new Build-An-Angel dies and Angelic Sentiments…just wait until you see what we’ve prepared for you!
Look at this beautiful card our designer Melody created using our Build-An-Angel dies. This new collection of dies comes with one angel body and several different styles of wings to choose from when building your angel. You can select solid wings, ornate wings, and wings that can be positioned in different ways, and a halo you can die cut from glittered or metallic cardstock to add an extra touch of shimmer.
TIPS:
- Use our Border Bling: Twinkle die to create a magical, starry background that compliments perfectly with our Build-An-Angel dies.
- Softly sponge Aqua Mist ink around the edges of your angel to help it stand out just a bit from the background, and also add a soft touch.

I instantly fell in love with Melody’s trio of tags created with our Build-An-Angel dies. Don’t these make the sweetest gift tags and even ornaments? Notice that Melody used our new Love to Layer: Soft Ridges dies to create her tag base. These are the perfect size and shape, aren’t they? Her circular tag cut using our Love to Layer: Stitched Circle is an added bonus and uses another, new angel die that you’ll be hearing more about very soon!
TIPS:
- Use our hot foil plates to create tag bases that coordinate and accent our Build-An-Angel dies perfectly! You can never have enough shimmer and shine when it comes to the holidays.
- Cut your sentiments into strips or stamp on our Double Ended Banner when adding sentiments to your tags.
- Experiment with different types of paper for the wings. Glittered, Foil, Vellum, and Patterned Paper add interest and texture.
- Look at the dies you already own and see if you could use them for tags.

I just love our new The Bigs Christmas Sentiments stamp set and coordinating dies. They are the perfect size to take center stage on your cards and tags and come with such fun, additional, decorative images such as leaves, berries, sprigs, and even a heart! Our Love to Layer: Soft Ridges dies are the most beautiful shape and perfect size for cards, tags, and ornaments. They come in three different sizes, large to small. The smallest is the perfect size for sentiments and are a favorite of mine!
Seeka’s beautiful card uses one of the many sentiments found in this set, layered over our new Love to Layer: Soft Ridges die cuts. She’s added fun detailed floral images to add a perfect pop of color. This card could easily be mass produced to create a bundle of holiday cards to pass out for Christmas. I love Seeka’s clean and simple style and layering!
TIPS:
- Add white splatters of paint over an Ocean Tides card base to create a lovely, snowy background, perfect for Christmas.
- Use foam adhesive behind your sentiment to elevate it up and off the base. This adds depth and dimension in a fun and easy way.
