Penny here again with you today and am so excited to show off our delightful, new Christmas products. You’ll love our delicate and detailed Doily Trees stamp set and dies. They were inspired by handmade burlap trees wrapped in crocheted doilies, perched on top of wooden spools. Isn’t it fun when inspiration comes to life?
I’m so excited to show you how our designers brought our new products to life today, so just sit back, grab a cup of cocoa with marshmallows, and enjoy!
Let’s have a look at what our featured designers created for us today, starting with Melissa’s creations.
Notice how Melissa layered her white doily tree layer over a solid Scarlet Jewel layer. The Doily Tree die set comes with both a detailed layer and a solid layer to use underneath or separately on their own. The solid layer also has cutting guides where you can trim them to allow for a lot of the doily to show without a bottom layer, or just a small amount, or none…the choice is yours! And, doesn’t her doily tree look darling, perched on top of her wooden spool, complete with a baker’s twine bow!
TIPS:
- Use a darker color of cardstock on the bottom layer of your doily tree to really make the intricate details of the top tree stand out.
- Cut a star to top your tree from glittered cardstock to add extra shimmer and shine.
- Create a tone on tone background by stamping snowflakes in Ocean Tides on an Ocean Tides block of cardstock. This adds subtle but beautiful detail.

You’ll find three different sizes of doily trees in the Doily Trees stamp and die sets. Melissa has used the small, skinny tree on her next card, dressed all in pastels and Classic Kraft. Melissa loves to use non-traditional colors on her Christmas cards, just as she’s done here. Also included in the Doily Trees stamps and dies are different shapes and sizes of spools, bows, baker’s twine, stars, and more. This set is complete with everything you’ll need to make unique and original, handmade cards for the special people in your life this holiday season.
Don’t you love the tiny Cornered: Bow die cut accents in the corners of her card? These dies add the perfect, unexpected touch and create lovely details in an instant! Wouldn’t these look perfect on birthday, baby and bridal shower cards, and more?Melissa has also added Christmas postage stamps in the upper and lower corners of her card using the new North Pole Mail stamp set…a definite must-have for the holidays.

Bobbi’s beautiful card uses our new Reflections: September stamp set and coordinating dies. The lovely scripture used is full of rejoicing and hope for the holiday season. I love how Bobbi created a horizontal card using these products and threaded coordinating ribbon through the slits in the die cut, tying it in a bow on the side. What a sweet touch!
Did you see the glorious greenery Bobbi added behind her sentiment? She’s used our new Build-A-Stocking dies to create the most beautiful bunch of holiday greens surrounding the outer edges of our Reflections: September die. Such a gorgeous card in unexpected, non-traditional colors.
TIPS:
- Use markers and colored pencils to add details to your greenery and berries. This creates a beautiful, hand painted look.
- Splatter your card with paint in subtle colors of white, aqua, and grey to create a soft, snowy look and feel.
