Welcome to Day 3 of the May Countdown. Today we have our newest Reflection paired with our new Into the Blooms dies. I am just starting to really appreciate using small blooms to enhance focal images and sentiments. I have always shied away from the combination, mostly because small blooms can be so hard to work with. But once I started using the PTI Gem Picker to pick up all of the small pieces, now I just want to make cards with our small blooms!
Betty is our featured designer today and I love all of the ways she used our Reflections: May Mini Stamp Set and die. In this first project, did you notice that she embossed the Elegant Script Hot Foil Plate for her background? Wow, that makes such a pretty layer! Then she stamped the Reflection on the Reflections: May Die and added the new Into the Blooms: Violets to accent. So pretty!

Betty’s second project is one of my favorites! Starting off with the Border Bling: Tin Stitch Die (if you don’t have this, you need it), she then added a Hibiscus Burst layer, then my favorite layer, the “Faith” layer, where she stamped the word “Faith” in 4 different colors. I just absolutely love this card! I don’t know if you can see the little wispies behind the faith layer, but what a fabulous little detail. Sometimes, the little details like that can make a project shine!

Betty’s final project is stunning. I love how she created the background, it reminds me of an old column you would find in Rome. And oh my, she hot foiled white cardstock with the Elegant Script Hot Foil Plate and then used the flower dies from Into the Blooms: Violets to cut out the flowers. So, so pretty. I also love how she used the Reflections: May die in this project, she used the large die and the medium die together so it would cut out a frame. This entire project is just so thoughtful and beautiful!

Next up is our Through the Palms Hot Foil Plate. I love this plate because it’s just enough, right? If you want to add a beach scene, you can without the palm trees being too invasive. With that said, I also like what our featured designer, Steph, did by just adding a couple of sentiments along with some beautiful ink blending. It’s simple, but packs a really powerful punch!
