Welcome to Day 2 of the March Countdown. Here at Papertrey Ink we love to bring you tons of variety. If you like more simple designs or something a little more challenging, we have you covered. Each of our newly released products can be used in so many different ways to fit your particular style, we are excited to show you how they come to life!
Hi, it’s Melissa, and I’m so thrilled to share our new products with you. We absolutely love bringing you the most amazing images made from the highest quality materials for you to add to your creative toolkit. Today we’re sharing projects created with the stunning, new Into the Blooms: Big Blooms dies, the Cornered: Flourish dies, and our Mother’s Day Sentiments stamps and dies. I’m going to show you what I created with these wonderful products and then we’ll show you what the other designers made.
Our Into the Blooms: Big Blooms die collection is absolutely breathtaking! The big bloom comes together very simply and easily, but the results are unforgettable. It consists of just seven pieces which makes assembling this lovely bloom very quick and without any tiny pieces to worry about.
Cut your big bloom from patterned paper, colored cardstock, felt, vellum, or white cardstock. I die cut mine from white cardstock and then sponged Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, and Pure Poppy ink over the surface areas of each piece. I then splattered the bloom with water and Distress Ink and assembled it.
I’ve used the beautiful, Cornered: Flourish dies to create the background behind my big bloom. I love these sweet flourishes and how they dress up the background in an instant! My sentiments are from the new Mother’s Day Sentiments stamp set and dies. In this set of stamps you’ll find a delightful variety of different sentiments that can each be used for Mother’s Day, with the smaller, secondary sentiments that could be used for many different occasions. They are stunning and so much fun to use!

TIPS:
-
Die-cut your florals from a light colored cardstock and add shading and dimension with ink in another color family for interest.

Use detail blending brushes to add shading to the edges of the die-cuts to create dimension.
-
Used piece of clear acetate to mask off half of the leaf, while adding shading to the other half.
-
Think outside the box: let your elements hang off the edges of your card…just mail it in a larger envelope.
My second card uses more of the Mother’s Day Sentiments stamps and dies along with a beautiful, new floral set you’ll be hearing more about tomorrow…you’ll love it!
I used paper from Basket of Blossoms on my card base, and then added Bitty Big Pale Peony and vellum Love to Layer: Notched dies followed by a frame from the new Pro Stamper’s Box: March 2024.
I selected “Best Mom Ever” stamp and die for my sentiment, stamping it in Lilac Grace ink. All that was needed were a few lovely blooms and any floral set from Papertrey Ink will look beautiful paired with our Mother’s Day Sentiments stamp set…that’s what makes this set so fun and versatile!
