Welcome to Day 4 of the September countdown. Here at Papertrey Ink we love to bring you tons of variety. If you like more simple designs or something a little more challenging, we have you covered. Each of our newly released products can be used in so many different ways to fit your particular style, we are excited to show you how they come to life!
Hi, it’s Melissa, and I’m so excited to share our new products with you. We absolutely love bringing you the most amazing images made from the highest quality materials for you to add to your creative toolkit. I’m going to show you what I created with these wonderful products and then we’ll show you what the other designers made. The card below was created using the new Serene Sleigh stamps and dies and Cornered: Christmas Bouquet dies. These are gorgeous, new products!

The sleigh in the Serene Sleigh stamp set is pure, vintage loveliness! I added silver embossing powder to the detailed layer of the sleigh, heat embossing over a base layer of Soft Stone ink. The results are soft and most definitely serene.

My sleigh is filled with gifts galore and a lovely Christmas tree, ready to decorate for the holidays. The tree is a three-step stamp, and I heat embossed the second layer, using Shabby Green Embossing Enamel in order to resemble snow on the tree.

I used the new Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs dies to embellish beneath my sleigh, and behind my sleigh, I’ve used the gorgeous, new Cornered: Christmas Bouquet dies. I used them on all four corners, and love the elegance and detail they add without taking too much away from the focal point on the card.

-
When stamping detail and shading over solid stamps, use the same ink color multiple times to get a darker color that matches perfectly

Use embossing powder to mimic the look and texture of metal
-
Use pink, aqua, and silver as an alternative to traditional red, green, and gold
Next up today, we have the adorable Festive Mailbox stamps and dies to share with you.

Our designer Melody Rupple created the sweetest card using our new Festive Mailbox stamp set and dies. Her winter scene is one I would love to step into and live in. It’s completely enchanting and I wanted to highlight it today.

Our Festive Mailbox set comes complete with a mailbox set to hold cards and letters for Santa, a tiny sled, snow drifts, pine sprigs and berries, gifts to stack on the sled, and more. Build your own scene using these delightful images and create unforgettable cards for those you love this holiday season.

I love how Melody tucked in Perfect Snowflakes here and there to build her scene. These flakes truly are perfect for this darling, whimsical set. She’s also used the Fanciful Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate as her card base and it couldn’t be more perfect for this card. The Festive Mailbox is a set you won’t want to miss stamping with this Christmas. It’s truly too cut for words!
SUPPLY LIST:
STAMPS: Festive Mailbox
INK: Sweet Blush, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Pinefeather, Lemon Tart, Pure Black, Classic Kraft
PAPER: Sheer Basics Vellum, Stamper’s Select White, Sweet Blush, Ripe Avocado,
DIES: Festive Mailbox, Perfect Snowflakes, Bring Home the Holidays
OTHER: Fanciful Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate, pink gems, blender brushes

TIPS:
- Layer your inks: the inside of the mailbox stamped with Hawaiian Shores ink was a bit too bright, so I stamped over it with Aqua Mist ink to desaturate it and tone it down a bit.
- Add snow: I used a white gel pen here for a more contolled look, but by flicking on diluted paint or gouache you get a more unpredictable look.
- Don’t forget to check your other stamp sets…I wanted to add a swag of greenery with some flowers, so i “borrowed” the flowers from the Ornament Cloche stamp set to get the result I wanted.
