I’m so excited you’re here for Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink July Countdown. We’re starting this month off with something really sweet and charming and perfect for crafting these warm summer days away. Introducing the new, Window Garden stamp set and dies.

I had summer vibes in mind when I created my first card, using colors I would love to have on my own window boxes and shutters. Our Window Garden stamp set was designed with a darling window, two different styles of shutters, a sweet window box, and then all the trimmings to go inside. I added a weathered wood texture to my window and window box by using the Weathered Wood Background stamp.

Choose from a watering can, clay pots, flowers, berries, a birdhouse, and greenery. I used a stencil from the Woodblock Prints Stencil Collection behind my scene, stenciling on Kraft cardstock. I love the way the delicate design shows through the window, reminding me a bit of curtains.

You’ll also find sweet sentiments to stamp across the front of the window box…they fit perfectly. Choose from “Flower Garden”, “Welcome”, and “Love Grows Here”. Whether you use then as the main sentiment or a secondary sentiment, you’ll love choosing which suits your card perfectly. I chose to use a sentiment from the new Garden Blessings stamp set, which you’ll hear more about in a day or so.
Supplies used:
STAMPS: Window Garden, Weathered Wood Background, Garden Blessings
INK: Spring Moss, Fresh Snow, Saffron Spice, Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Bright Buttercup, Scarlet Jewel, Ocean Tides, Blueberry Sky, Ripe Avocado, Olive Twist, Dark Chocolate
PAPER: Kraft, Stamper’s Select White
DIES: Window Garden
STENCILS: Woodblock Prints Stencil Collection
OTHER: Crackle Paste, patterned paper, adhesive gems

My second card mixes up the colors and foliage of the Window Box stamp set just a bit. I began with a Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die, creating a layer behind my window. I sponged on Hawaiian Shores ink and then added a few Distress Ink splatters to create a blue sky outside my window.

You’ll notice I used the second shutter design on this card. I love the barn door look to these sweet and shabby shutters. Once again, I used the Weathered Wood Background stamp to add a woodgrain touch to my images. I adore the darling aqua window placed between the Melon Berry shutters…reminds me of a fresh, summer day with a gently breeze blowing through the window.

I used the tiny berry garland across the top and bottom of my window and filled my window box with more flowers, a birdhouse, and a watering can filled with fresh berries and greens. My card base was created from Kraft cardstock followed by the Cover Plate: Ornate die and a some scrunched seam binding. Such a delightful stamp set to play with!

Next up today, I am delighted to share with you the new and completely adorable Paw Prints stamp set and dies. If you’re a dog-lover, this sweet set is for you and perfect for the dog-lovers in your life.

In the Paw Prints stamp set you’ll find numerous mix and match puppy images to create puppies of your choice. You’ll even be able to add spots, different tails and ears, curly or straight hair, different faces, and so much more. Maybe you’ll even be able to create pups that resemble your own!

It’s hard to choose what I love most about this set, but I think the darling faces take the cake! I have a very large puppy here at home, a Border Collie whose name is Patton. I did my best to create a dog that resembles him and I have to say, creating with him in mind warmed my heart. I love the additional dog bone you can add, or a pile of them as you’ll notice some of our designers have done. Just wait until you see their adorable projects.

Something else I love about this set is the endearing sentiments found within. You’ll find, “The Love of a Furry Friend Has No End”, “Life is Much Better with a Dog by Your Side”, “I am So Sorry for Your Loss”, and much more. Another fun feature of this stamp set is the different backgrounds you can make, maybe paw prints or hearts, or both!
