On Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink July Countdown, I’m excited to introduce you to our new Garden Blessings stamp set. This set is full of the sweetest garden-themed sentiments that are perfect for friendship, encouragement, thinking of you, support, and a many other occasions. They’re so delightful for those of you who love anything garden related or have a garden-loving friend!

I began my card by cutting a block of cardboard and tearing off the top layer to reveal the corrugated inside. This helped created a weathered shabby feel to my card. I adhered it onto a white cardstock base. I knew I wanted to use the Picket Fence die with the Garden Blessings stamp set, so that’s just what I did!

I die cut my fence from Fine Linen cardstock and then stamped the pickets with my Weathered Wood Background stamp using Spring Moss ink. I used a die cut Psalm Reflections: February bracket as the base where I stamped my sentiment from the Garden Blessings stamp set. It’s the perfect size and has those gorgeous, embellished sides that dress it up just a bit.

Lastly, I used pressed flowers from the June Surprise Box at both sides of my sentiment. I love how they tie in perfectly with the “wildflower” reference in the Garden Blessings sentiment. This was a super quick and easy card to create but has the look of a layered, dimensional creation…just the way I love to make them!

Next up today are the gorgeous Into the Blooms: Poppies dies. They’re the perfect addition to our Into the Blooms series and are just as delicate and intricate as in real life. They’re simple to assemble and create stunning blooms in minutes!

The rectangular stencil from the Make it Market Mini Kit: Herb Garden created the most beautiful stenciled area in the center of my card. Before stamping my sentiment, from the Garden Blessings stamp set, I added a few splatters of Distress Spray to the stenciled area. Once if was dry, I stamped my chosen sentiment in Olive Twist ink.

To add color to my Into the Blooms: Poppies, I die cut my red blooms from Pure Poppy cardstock and then sponged on Scarlet Jewel ink to darken some of the petals and add dimension. The other blooms were cut from white cardstock and Melon Berry and Berry Sorbet ink were added to each petal. White paint and Distress Spray splatters were added to each bloom after they were assembled.

I added a couple of Into the Blooms: Geraniums in yellow to create a mixed flower bundle at the top and bottom of my card to frame in my sentiment. The poppy leaves provided perfect accents to further frame in my sentiment. You’ll love these new poppies as much as I do, I just know it!
