Our final day of the Papertrey Ink July Countdown has arrived and we’re throwing a party, complete with balloons and birthday wishes!

Introducing the new, delightful Balloon Bouquet dies. This sweet set of balloons fits together like a puzzle, allowing you to die cut from different colors of cardstock, patterned paper, felt, vellum, glitter cardstock, and more. I die cut mine from watercolor cardstock, then added color through sponging ink in Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, and Bright Buttercup over each balloon segment.

A few Distress Spray ink splatters further added to my watercolor feel on my balloons, followed by white paint splatters and Stickles glitter. I adore the tiny hearts that fit in between some of the balloons…what an unexpected treat to this sweet, balloon bouquet.

I created a long, slimline card using my Balloon Bouquet dies, adding in confetti, streamers, and a sentiment from the new Hooray It’s Your Birthday stamp set. This stamp set and dies accent each other so perfectly…you’ll have so much fun creating with them!
Happy Birthday to You card
Supplies used:
STAMPS: Hooray It’s Your Birthday
INK: Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Bright Buttercup
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Bitty Big Harvest Gold
DIES: Balloon Bouquet
OTHER: Moonshine sequins, Stickles glitter, watercolor cardstock, Distress Spray, white paint

TIPS:
- Try a unique fun fold card (bridge, step, etc.) to make your balloon bouquet “shine”!
- The versatility of the Tuck It dies work for many different stamp sets!
- Add a “kickstand” piece of folded cardstock to the back to help it stand up easily for displaying. It also gives you a place to sign the card.

TIPS:
- Nothing screams “celebration” like sequins or some other form of bling!
- Pop up the balloon bouquet to give it some dimension and to draw the eye to the main center of attraction.

Our final group of projects are some I love so much and have found to be essentials to my ever growing birthday and bracket stash. The new Birthday Wishes Background stamp is like a party waiting to happen, just waiting for your creativity to bring it to life. And, our Love to Layer: Alluring Brackets dies are gorgeous, detailed, and create such lovely layers.

I stamped my Birthday Wishes Background Stamp on a die cut Love to Layer: Rectangle. I stamped it in watermark ink, added white embossing powder, and then heat embossed it using my heat gun. Next, I sponged ink on in a variety of pastels over the embossed surface area and brought out the assorted words and phrases from the background stamp.

Next came a vellum layer cut using the largest layer from the new Love to Layer: Alluring Brackets die. I love how vellum softens and brightens everything it covers, don’t you? I added a strip of seam binding and then the center bracket from the Alluring Brackets collection.

I added a large balloon cut using the Hooray It’s Your Birthday die and Bitty Big Sweet Blush paper. I cut a second balloon from vellum, stamped my sentiment on the front and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. My sentiment is also from the Hooray It’s Your Birthday stamp set. To dress my card up even further, and because I adore flowers of any variety, I added in blooms, berries, and greens from the new Window Garden stamp set.
