Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink April Countdown! I am so glad you’re here and very excited to introduce you to today’s products. Are you ready for a new Vase Collection? You’re going to love our latest in this series. Introducing the new Vase Collection 17 stamps and dies and our new Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets dies.

I am smitten with the gorgeous, floral container included in this new set. It’s very elegant but weathered and just the right amount of shabby chic…my favorite style! The florals included in this set are simply stunning and I love their wispy nature and movement. They look so lovely draped over the side of the container.

The new Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets dies are used behind my vase and are truly so lovely and elegant in nature. They come in a set of three, each one a bit smaller than the last so you can build a lovely, layered trio complete with a background, center, and spot for your sentiment. My base layer was cut from cardboard and painted with off-white acrylic paint to bring in a soft, shabby look.

In the background I have used the Script Background Stencil, stenciling in Fine Linen ink. I love this gorgeous font! I then stamped flowers from the Vase Collection 17 stamp set in the corners to bring in more of the red stamped on the flowers in my vase. My sentiment is from the new Easy Bouquet stamp set, which you’ll be learning all about in a day or two. It’s beautiful also!

Our new group of products are all about the boys….large and small! Introducing the new My Dad die set and Just For Dad stamps and dies. These sets will certainly come in handy as Father’s Day approaches, not to mention masculine cards for birthdays and other celebrations involving the guys in your life.

The My Dad die set is a continuation of our lovely My Mom die collection we released in March. This time we’ve switched up the font a bit and given you two new pierced or embossed backgrounds to use behind your “Dad” windows. I used the fun, vertical lines behind my window, then added in zigzags using our Chevron Stencils.

There are so many delightful images included in the Just For Dad stamp set, including a hammer, screwdriver, fishing pole, beer mug, barbecue, basketball, tie, and more, all celebrating the guys. I used a few of these images, tucking them into the window cut using the My Dad die set. The fish on the line is from another masculine set you’ll read more about in a couple of days, but it looked so cute on this card, I had to use it!

I used the Chevron Stencils once again to create the background on this card, stenciling in a variety of colors and using the wider zigzag stripe. I then added in a secondary sentiment using images from the new A Little Rugged stamp set and coordinating dies. I added burlap and a few wood buttons to further the masculine theme.
