Our final day of the February Countdown is here, but we’ve saved some delightful products for last!  Introducing the new Border Bling:  Lattice die, the Into the Blooms:  Clover, and Just Sentiments:  Welcome Spring stamp set.  Let’s jump right in!

I used my Border Bling:  Lattice die as an embossing plate instead of a die.  I love the soft impressions it left on my white cardstock base.  I used Green Parakeet ink sponged over the upper portion to highlight the design and really bring out the texture.  I then coated it with some Distress Spray splatters in blue.

Next, I used the new Love to Layer:  Beautiful Bracket die and die cut an oval window in the center of it, creating a frame for my Just Sentiments:  Welcome Spring sentiment.

Surrounding the sentiment, I used the new Love to Layer:  Clover die to create some fun florals and greens.  After sponging ink over my clovers, I added polka dots to each using an image from the Birthday Pops stamp set.  I love the sweet vine image in the Into the Blooms:  Clover die collection and die cut it from Bitty Big Sweet Blush paper to add in a bit of pattern.  Such a fun group of products to work with and so perfect for Spring!

Supplies Used:

STAMPS: Just Sentiments:  Welcome Spring, Birthday Pops

INK: New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Pale Peony, Hibiscus Burst, Olive Twist, Bright Buttercuo

PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Bitty Big Sweet Blush

DIES: Into the Blooms:  Clover, Border Bling:  Lattice, Lover to Layer:  Beautiful Bracket, It’s A Sign:  Hanging Frames Stitched Layers, Bows Galore

OTHER: Distress Spray, patterned paper, Stickles glitter, Moonshine sequins

TIPS:

  • Do not be afraid to cut into your foiled patterns to create different looks.
  • Add dimension to your die cut elements by folding and manipulating.
  • Add various colors of splatter to add even more dimension and texture to die cut elements.

TIPS:

  • Use just some of the components to sets to create varying looks.  Here, I used only the clover flowers without the clovers.
  • Trim down portions of leaves and use only what you need to tuck under the flowers

TIPS:

  • Enhance sentiment elements by inkblending and stamping so it becomes a part of the card.
  • Add embellishment elements in like colors to enhance the overall look of card elements.

Our last grouping of products might just be my most favorite of the entire February Countdown.  Introducing the new Elegant Edges:  Spring Flowers dies and Inside Greetings:  Welcome Spring stamp set.  You’ll love the many different sentiments included in our latest Inside Greetings set and our newest Elegant Edges is magical and creates such a stunning background.

I began my card by using Aqua Mist cardstock as my base.  I used the new Elegant Edges:  Spring Flowers die close to the bottom of my card base, knowing I wanted to provide the pattern I wanted across the majority of my card.  I layered it over a block of white cardstock and rounded my bottom corners.

Next, I stenciled a block of white cardstock to fit above my Elegant Edges:  Spring Flowers.  I used the Show Your Stripes Stencil and Hawaiian Shores ink.  I added a bit of Distress Spray splattered across my stenciled area as well and adhered it in place.  I brought in flowers and greens using the Love to Layer:  Clover and Love to Layer:  Dahlias die collections.  I love Aqua Mist combined with Bright Buttercup…one of my most favorite color combinations.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from the Inside Greetings:  Welcome Spring stamp set on a die cut It’s A Sign:  Hanging Frames Stitched Layers.  I tucked it under my dahlia petals and added some sequins and Stickles glitter to finish.  I adore the lovely Elegant Edges:  Spring Flowers die…it creates glamour in an instant!
