I have something extra special to share with you on Day 2 of our January Countdown. Introducing the new Birthday Tag Kit! You’ll love creating birthday tags for gifts, bags, favors, cards, boxes, packages, and more. Equally adorable is our new Birthday Background stamp set. Let’s get started on today’s projects!
I created a tag trio using the new Birthday Tag Kit. This sweet kit comes complete with sequins, buttons, Baker’s Twine, a stamp set, coordinating dies, and more. All you need is your own creativity! I used the new Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket dies as my tag base…they make the most adorable tags.
On my first tag, I layered up my Decorative Bracket dies, stamping the medium sized die with stripes from the Birthday Tag Kit stamp set. I added a sentiment stamped and matted on circle dies from the kit. I love this particular sentiment stamped on vellum and heat embossed in white embossing powder. I added sentiments and a paper bow from the kit, attached with a mini clothespin and paper clip, also from the kit. All of the details have been thoughtfully added. You’ll notice a tiny party hat and balloon, which are from the new Iconic Birthday, you’ll hear about next.
Bitty Big Mint Julep paper layered under Sheer Basics Vellum create my bottom tag layer, both cut from the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket die. I stamped the middle layer using the new Birthday Background stamp set and added coloring using my Copics. I adore the scalloped square layer, complete with the Happy Birthday Balloon sentiment. More Iconic Birthday images were added as well as a vertical strip of die cut patterned paper, which accompanies the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket dies. At the top I added a mini wooden clothespin topped with a paper cut bow and button. Cut accents, don’t you think?
My last tag uses the very same elements in slightly different ways. I heat embossed the Birthday Background stamp set on my tag base and then added color over the images to bring them up off the base. I then spritzed the tag base with water, added Distress ink, and let it dry. My sentiment is another of my favorites from the sweet, Birthday Tag Kit stamp set…I love layering them over the coordinating circular and square dies that come with the kit.

Next, I’ve used the new Birthday Tag Kit to create a card, loving how easily the stamps and dies work together on cards too!
I love the long, skinny tag included in the Birthday Tag Kit as well as the die cut words you can cut from it as well as the circular and square tags too. I’ve used the long die cut “Hooray” down the front of my tag. I stamped the side of my tag with stripes front Birthday Tag Kit stamp set. The sweet scallops down the left side of my tag are from the new Birthday Celebrations dies.
In the background I’ve used the new Stargazing Hot Foil Plate and the Love to Layer: Decorative Brackets dies. The balloons are also from the Birthday Celebrations dies, and the tiny “Happy Birthday” banner, cake and cake plate are all from the Iconic Birthday stamp set

Next up today are the fun, Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket dies you’ve been hearing so much about! Also the Iconic Birthday stamps and dies and Birthday Celebration dies. Let’s jump right in.
The new Birthday Celebration dies are so much fun! Scalloped borders, balloons, die cut words, embossed stripes, streamers and more. My die cut sentiment is from this die collection and is layered over die cut circles from the Birthday Tag Kit . I’ve layered them over the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket dies…once stamped with the Birthday Background stamp set and heat embossed in white embossing powder. I love how this looks! Such a fun background stamp set.
I’ve used the tiny stamps from the Iconic Birthday to stamp across the bottom of my Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket and to add a party hat and balloons to dress up and embellish my card. The Aqua Mist strip across the center of my card is also from the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket die collection. Isn’t it fun that it comes with these delightful strips that you can layer under or over the brackets, die cutting them from patterned paper, felt, vellum, and other elements?
My favorite element of the entire Birthday Celebration die collection might just be the scallop strip. I added this across the top of my card after stamping it with the cute banner found in the Iconic Birthday stamp set…who can resist scallops?
