Happy January! It’s Day 1 of our fabulous January Countdown and we are bursting at the seams with delightful, new products to share with you. I’m so excited to introduce you to today’s products. Let’s jump right in because there are oodles of celebratory products this month…all about birthday, celebrations, parties, etc.

Let’s start things off on Day 1 with our darling, new Birthday Pops stamps and dies and new Stargazing Hot Foil Plate! Seriously….cake pops? Aren’t they beyond cute? The stamp set comes with so many toppings, sprinkles, candy flowers, stripes, coatings, and decorations to embellish each of your cake pops. There’s even an option to create one with a bite taken out of it, showing the melt in your mouth goodness on the inside. Too cut for words, right?

I created mine in a variety of Valentine colors, since it’s right around the corner and I thought these would make a cute bouquet for someone special. I adore the cake pop sticks that come with a candy stripe…the tiny bows that are available to embellish with if you choose, the sprinkles, and of course that darling, polka dot jar! I can’t say enough about how cute it is.

Behind my Birthday Pops arrangement, I have used the new Stargazing Hot Foil Plate, using a matte pink over white cardstock and loving how it turned out. Another of my favorite features from this stamp set are the tiny flags you can attach to your cake pops with an teensy, tiny sentiment stamped over it. I used the new, Just Sentiments: From All of Us across the front of my jar, stamping it on a die cut Tag Creations: Delightful Bunch label. The lovely vellum, die cut bracket label behind my jar is also new and is from the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket collection. You’ll be seeing this all over in this release!
Supplies Used:
STAMPS: Birthday Pops, Just Sentiments: From All of Us
INK: Fine Linen, Autumn Rose, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, Lovely Lady, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Olive Twist
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Sheer Basics Vellum
DIES: Birthday Pops, Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket, Tag Creations: Delightful Bunch, Birthday Celebration
OTHER: Stargazing Hot Foil Plate, red sequins, buttons from Birthday Tag Kit, Stickles glitter, patterned paper

My next card uses our new Cornered: Balloon dies combined with the Birthday Pops stamps and dies. I used the corner dies in the two bottom corners of my card front then layered vellum underneath the cutouts. I wish you could see how soft and subtle this design is in person. It just glows from behind, through the sweet die cut windows.

I tucked my Birthday Pops behind a stamped and die cut Love to Layer: Bracket. This is the smallest layer and it comes with an intricate, embossed and pierced design in it. My sentiment is from the Birthday Pops stamp set and I adore how it ties in with the “sweet” theme of this set. The tiny flowers are also from this set and I pulled leaves in from the Sprigs & Sprays stamp set to add in a bit of green to tie in with my green cake pop.

I wanted the lovely Cornered: Balloon to be prominent on my card, so I decided not to use the cute jar on this card and instead just nestled them behind my stamped sentiment. Isn’t the tiny “You’re Amazing” flag such a sweet touch, along with the striped sticks? I tell you, every last detail was thought about and added into our darling, Birthday Pops set.

Next up today is the beautiful, new Birthday Your Way stamp set. Full of the most versatile happy birthday wishes in a delightful assortment of fonts. I’m also sharing the new Elegant Edges: Balloon Party dies and Inside Greetings: From All of Us stamp set.

I used the Elegant Edges: Balloon Party across the base of my white card base. I love the intricate cutouts that are a result of this die. Our designs have used this die set in the most creative ways.

I sponged ink over my cut out areas, adding soft, sorbet colors to highlight the balloons, their stripes, polka dots, and streamers. I then added a backing to my card front, using patterned paper in soft pinks and oranges. I love how these colors show through the opening. I then added Spring Rain across the top of my card to resemble the sky. I added water droplets and splatters of Distress Spray to create a soft, cloudy feel.

Lastly, I added my sentiment from the Inside Greetings: From All of Us stamp set. I then added a secondary sentiment using the new Birthday Your Way stamp set and coordinating dies. Isn’t it fun that this sentiment set has dies? Love that feature…what a great way to make your sentiments pop!
Enjoy the creative ways our designers have used these new products…you’ll be inspired!

- Create a shaker background using frame dies behind your focal die cuts
- Use clear and white shaker fillers when you want shine and movement but not color

TIPS:
-
Paint sprays are a great way to get color and texture at the same time
-
Match the inside of your card to the outside with the same colors or technique
