I’m so excited it’s time for the Papertrey Ink July Release, how about you? This month is bursting with the most beautiful and inspiring products and ideas and I can’t wait to start sharing with you what we’ve been up to. Let’s start with our Day 1 products, the new Into the Blooms: Orchids Dies, Love to Layer: Ovals Dies, and Mini Picket Fence Dies. Prepare to fall head over heels in love!

I am smitten with our new Into the Blooms: Orchid dies. I’ve used them here in one of the two pots available in this new die collection. These dies are so easy to assemble. All that’s missing is the color, and you can easily solve that by die cutting from colored cardstock, patterned paper, or simply sponging ink over each die cut surface.

I sponged ink over my die cut pieces, then followed up with a light spritzing of water, Distress spray, and then used colored pencils to bring in more of the embossed details that the dies so beautifully add. Behind my orchids, you’ll notice our new Love to Layer: Ovals dies. These are so welcome in my crafting stash. I love the way the edges each have a different embossed or die cut edge and they look so beautiful on their own, or layered such as I’ve done here. I cut my base oval from white corrugated paper, and my top layer from Sweet Blush cardstock. They provide such a wonderful, behind the scenes focal point.

Our new Mini Picket Fence dies are irresistible and versatile. They come with two options of how you can use them. One is the criss-cross center such as I’ve used here and the other are straight picket fence pieces you can build your fence with. Whichever way you choose to use them, you’ll adore the size and scale of this new die collection. The sentiment used on my card is from the new Just Sentiments: You’re on My Mind, which you’ll be hearing more about very soon!

I’ve created my second card making sure the new Into the Blooms: Orchids die takes center stage. I colored it the very same way as my previous card but placed it with its beautiful simplicity in the center of my card.

You can see the three different ovals included in the Love to Layer: Ovals die and even see their beautiful details. The largest oval has a beautiful diamond shaped embossed design around the edges. The center oval has the sweet scalloped edges, and the smallest oval has a delightful pierced outer edge. These are so fun to used with different colors and elements. I’ve used vellum, corrugated cardstock, felt, patterned paper, etc.

I added photo corners from the Vintage Blooms die collection on all four corners of my card, which further highlights my orchid in the center of my card. The sentiment is once again from the new Just Sentiments: You’re on My Mind stamp set.
You’ll have so much fun with these new products. I can just envision you crafting the afternoon away, creating beautiful orchids!

Next up on Day 1 of our July Countdown, I get to introduce you to our newest Vase Collection…can’t wait! Introducing the new Vase Collection 11 stamp set and dies, Sprigs & Sprays: Fall, and Weathered Tile Stencils.

This beautiful, new clay pot is the latest featured shape in our Vase Collection series and I am in love! Wait until you stamp with it! It comes with a solid image, detailed image, and three, darling accents you can add to the front, meant to resemble an embossed portion of the clay pot. And, my favorite part of all are the tiny words you can stamp inside these accents. Have I intrigued you yet?

I filled my pot with images from the gorgeous, new Sprigs & Sprays: Fall stamps and dies. Envision all the gorgeous colors and greens of fall, and you’ll have them all wrapped up in this one set. I love the sunflowers and pumpkin added to make this set even more delightful and desirable. I’ve filled my pot and left some around the base to further embellish my card. I love the simplicity of the clay pot with the delicate, and intricate images of the blooms and greens.

It’s almost PUMPKIN season, can you believe it? How fun to have a few fall images to stamp in the heat of the summer. You’ll notice I have used the new Love to Layer: Ovals behind my vase, and behind the ovals you’ll see that I used the new Weathered Tile Stencils to create my heat embossed background. I am in love with this new stencil set. Just wait until you see the colorful backgrounds our designers have used creating with them. LOVE! I’ve also used photo corner dies from the Vintage Blooms die collection. I can’t quite put them away!
Grab a cup of something warm and sit back and enjoy the gorgeous projects our designers have created using these new sets. I know you’ll love them just as much as I do.
