Welcome back to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink June Countdown. Today just might be my most favorite day of the Release. I am excited to introduce you to the new Vintage Blooms stamp set and dies and Inside Greetings: Friendship stamp set

I get excited for any new floral stamp set, but this one just speaks to my heart. I love the fullness of the multiple-step flowers and enjoy watching them take shape and come to life with each new layer I add. The tiny flower buds in this set really set these blooms apart and add so much personality

Can you see why I love Vintage Blooms? This set goes perfectly with our new Script Background Stencils. I wanted to share how I used my background stencil on this card. I thought it was so much fun and a technique I’ll be using again.

I used Art Alchemy Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in Mint over my stencil and on my white cardstock base. I simply coated it over the surface area, making sure I had both the cardstock secured to my table and the stencil secured to my table as well. This helps keep the stencil from slipping as I add my paint. This paint dries quickly, so once the stencil was removed, I didn’t have to wait too long to use it on my card.

Here you can see the amazing, thick texture that this heavy duty paint adds. I love it!

Lastly, I used our new Inside Greetings: Friendship stamp set for my sentiment, stamping it over an image from the new Penciled Outlines stamp set. The Penciled Outlines add just a touch of movement and dimension without taking away from your sentiment. It’s a fun way to use the set, and don’t worry about staying inside the lines! This is a set you can take your images outside the lines with. The sentiments in Inside Greetings: Friendship set are so sweet and unique. They say just the right thing in ways I would never think of!
Supplies used:
STAMPS: Vintage Blooms, Penciled Outlines, Inside Greetings: Friendship
INK: Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Raspberry Fizz, Mint Julep, Ocean Tides
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Sheer Basics Vellum
DIES: Pattern Party, Vintage Blooms, Dainty Doilies, Love to Layer: Aztec, Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frames
OTHER: Impasto Paint, Moonshine sequins, Stickles Crystal glitter, patterned paper

My next card uses the very same products but more of them! You can see my Script Backgrounds Stencil in the background. This stencil collection comes with two different choices, a horizontal and vertical stencil. This allows you flexibility in how you use them.

I added Vintage Blooms below my Inside Greetings: Friendship image and stamped leaves from this set directly over my stenciled script. One thing I have long wished for was a photo corner die set and Vintage Blooms includes three different varieties. I’ve used one of them here. I’ve also used images from our new Vintage Postage stamp set.

I love to use vellum on pretty much every card I use. Here, I heat embossed the new Penciled Outlines on a die cut square, cut using the coordinating Penciled Outlines die. I love the softness white embossed powder adds over vellum, don’t you? And the scripted background shows through very faintly, just how I wanted it to.
Are you ready for some Design Team projects? They’ll make you long to create with these new sets immediately!

I’ve got even more to share with you today! Introducing the new Feathered Friends 24 dies and Just Sentiments: Friendship stamp set. I think you’ll fall in love with our Toucan, just as I have.

This sweet, tropical Feathered Friend is packed with so much personality. I have loved watching to see how each designer used her dies and know you’ll find plenty of inspiration. I chose to create mine in vibrant, fruity colors and nestled her into palms from this same die collection. I added in the Sunburst Stencil to add further to the tropical feel of this card.

After die cutting my Feathered Friend from white cardstock, I sponged ink over each die cut piece, added a spritz of water and let the water do all of the magic as the colors started blending together. This die set comes with so many individual pieces that truly bring this sweet bird to life! Across the top of my card, I used a sentiment from the new Just Sentiments: Friendship stamp set. You’ll flip over the fun sentiments included!

Lastly, I finished up my card by adding die cut Into the Blooms II flowers, sponging ink over each layer, just as I did with my Feathered Friend. I love adding a bit of Stickles Crystal glitter to highlight the centers of the flowers as well as curves on my bird. One of my most favorite ways to add shimmer and shine and this bird just eats it up!
Now onto the sweetest treats yet…projects from our designers.

TIPS:
- Use a water brush to add your favorite ink colors to a piece of watercolor paper. Once the paper is dry, use it to create fun, colorful die cuts for your project.

TIPS:
- To create a fun, ruffled border under a sentiment, add a strip double-sided adhesive tape to your card, before you add the sentiment. Cut a piece of your favorite ribbon ( approximately three times the length of the sentiment), and loop it back and forth across the adhesive tape.
