Day 3 is just as fun as can be! Our June Countdown just keeps getting better and better, don’t you think? Today I bring you the new Floating By stamp set and dies, Floating By Sentiments stamp set, and Pool Water Stencils. If these sound intriguing, you’re right! Let’s get started with a project, shall we?

I don’t know about you, but it was love at first sight seeing the pineapple and watermelon pool floaties! Can you think of anything cuter? Not me! Wait until you stamp with them….you’ll love them even more.

The new Floating By stamp set is all about flotation devices for your summertime pleasure! Think pineapple, round, watermelon, donut, lime, lemon, orange, etc. The set comes with the cutest coordinating stamp sets, that center around the words “floating by”. The new Floating By Sentiments stamp set is all about Summertime and the fun that this time of year brings.

Behind my floaties, I have used the new Pool Water Stencils to create a realistic water effect. You know how the water in the pool looks when the sun shines on it? These sentiments add sparkle, shine and movement and are my favorite, new element to create with. So simple but so effective. I also used palm fronds from our Feathered Friends 24 die set, and flowers from the Message in a Bottle die set.
Enjoy the sweet treats our designers have created for you using these darling new sets. You’ll feel like a trip to the pool or beach!
Supplies used:
STAMPS: Floating By, Vintage Postage, Penciled Outlines
INK: Hawaiian Shores, Mint Julep, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Honey Nut, Green Parakeet, Ripe Avocado, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, New Leaf, Limeade Ice
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White
DIES: Floating By, Feathered Friendship 24, Message in a Bottle, Nesting Basics: Ovals
OTHER: Moonshine sequins, Stickles Crystal glitter, Pool Water Stencils

TIPS:
- When layering the two stencils, pick a light ink and go light-handed with each layer so that the pattern of the bottom layer through shows through the top layer
- If you plan to die cut the images, die cutting first and then stamping on top can help you line up the pineapple’s leaves and the fruit slice’s rind
- You can skip stamp layers if you want! In this card, I skipped the radiating lines layer of the orange, and the inner rind layer of the watermelon, letting the white cardstock show through

Introducing the new Feathered Friend 24 Mini stamp set and dies. Parrot lovers, this beauty is for you!

I went onto Pinterest and looked up “Parrots” just to gain some inspiration and I was bowled over by the wide variety of colors they come in. Such gorgeous birds! Stamping this lovely, new Feathered Friend is so simple. The layers comes together and work together so perfectly.

I layered my Feathered Friend over palm fronds from the Feathered Friends 24 die set. These little babies really have gotten lots of use this release…I love them! I also added in a few flowers from the Sprigs & Sprays stamp set. It’s fun choosing what elements you want to add to create your summertime scene. Such a great time to pull out other, older sets and let them see a little sunshine too.

My sentiment is from the new Floating By: Sentiments stamp set and I love this one I selected and each delightful sentiment included. Just wait til you get to read them all. They are playful and creative for anything related to summer. Behind my bird I stenciled on some sun rays and added a vellum border, cut using the On the Border: Fir Branches die.
I had such a fun time creating with this new set and and know the designers did too. It shows in their cards, so enjoy each one!
