What do I do with this?

Hi everybody, welcome to our new feature What do I do with this?  For this challenge our designers will get to try out some of these new tools and share the projects they created using them.  We’ve got some fun, new things coming to the Papertrey Ink store and our designers will show you how to use them so you’ll be comfortable incorporating them into your card-making and gift-giving.  Stay tuned for exciting and creative things coming your way!  We want to share what our designers love with you, and this gives you a first-hand look into their crafty-faves!

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today with a new What Do I Do With This challenge? Today I am challenging you to pull out your favorite stencil and create a card. I am using some of the amazing new products from the April release but anything you have in your stash will work.

I started my card by creating my background. I used the new Barbed Wire stencil along with Simply Chartruse ink. I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray (this is a great light tack adhesive designed to hold stencils in place while you blend) and I applied my ink with a blending brush.

Next, I used the Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frame die and Dark Indigo cardstock to create my frame. I attached the frame directly to my card panel.

I then used the new Special Guy stamp set to stamp my guitar and sentiments. This is such a great stamp set, perfect for all the men in your life! I know it is a set I will reach for often.

To finish my card I used the new Special Guy stencil set to add the sunrise detail behind my sentiment. This small set of stencils adds the perfect touch to images in the Special Guy stamp set. I love how everything coordinates together perfectly.
