Hello and welcome back! On Day 2 of our May release, we have the loveliest of florals for you…our Happy Hyacinths stamp set and dies. This delightful bundle of flowers fits perfectly snug in our new Country Hand Basket die. Delightful! Let’s get started with some projects.
Hyacinths remind me of my grandma. Something about their tiny, delicate blooms remind me of a simpler time with her presence in my life. Don’t they look perfect and absolutely at home in the new Country Hand Basket? I adore this new die set. It comes in two pieces and allows you to create an actual paper basket where you can nestle any number of Papertrey Ink flowers.
I cut my hand basket from woodgrain paper and then sponged Honey Nut ink over the surface to bring out the fun, lifelike details. I then went over it again with a brown colored pencil to accentuate those details even more. I layered my basket and hyacinths over an On the Border: Florals Bliss die cut to resemble a lacy, delicate tablecloth.
The new Just Sentiments: Lift stamp set is one you’ll just love having at the ready. This set is perfectly suited to help lift, encourage, and cheer on the recipients of your lovely cards. I heat embossed mine in gold embossing powder over a vellum die cut Delicate Doily. The cute “25 cent” stamp in the corner is from our new Vase Collection: Rustic Add-on set…adorable!

It’s time to reveal our newest Feathered Friend! This little guy or gal is sweet, endearing, has the cutest tilt to its head, and is loaded with happy personality!
I always try to create a different look and feel with each new Feathered Friend. For my Feathered Friends 23 this month, I decided to add in some different textures and mediums. I began with white cardstock, adding shading in Bright Buttercup, Honey Nut, and Melon Berry.
For the chest of my little bird, I used Bitty Big Harvest Gold, then for the lower chest feathers, I added in Vintage Cream felt. The possibilities are endless with these dies, aren’t they?
I surrounded my bird with Happy Hyacinths and their leaves. I can see these florals being used for so many different occasions and combined with such a wide variety of other Papertrey Ink stamp sets.
My sentiment comes from the new Inside Greetings: Lift stamp set. It was so hard to choose which sentiment to use. I love them all and find them each so endearing, but this one especially spoke to my heart. Just wait til you see them all! I wanted to accent the feel and theme of this card with happiness and sun rays, so I used the new Border Bling: Skinny Hearts Frames over the On the Border: Sunburst die cut.

I am delighted to introduce you to our next round of products. The new Vase Collection 10 stamps and dies are so beautiful and unique and make me happy to create with. I think you’ll understand why once you see them! Along with our new Vase Collection, I’m also sharing sentiments from the new Just Sentiments: Lift set. Truly the sweetest greetings!
Look at these beautiful glass bottles and florals! Oh my heart….when I saw this set for the first time, I was beside myself and wanted to immediately start stamping with it. I also adore the cute, tiny metal container the glass bottles fit snug inside. I embossed the detailed front, wire area using gold embossing powder to create a metallic, realistic feel.
One of my most favorite elements of this set is the cute, little plaque you can stamp and attach across the front of your wire basket. You can choose between an oval and a rectangle with rounded corners and there are three different sentiments to use. I stamped my Just Sentiments: Lift on a die cut doily from the Bottles & Blooms kit and then accented with an additional flower. This is a great way to tie in your theme throughout your card and fill in too much empty white space which is what I had near the bottom of my card.
Do you love those pretty blooms like I do? They’re sure fun to stamp and create in different colors. I used a combination of pinks such as Autumn Rose, Raspberry Fizz, Pale Peony, and Hibiscus Burst. Behind my floral arrangement, I used the Cornered: Lace dies to further highlight the delicate, feminine feel of this card.

TIPS:
- Add some larger blooms to accent the focal point
- Heat emboss the sentiment on dark ink to make it pop
- Layer the two large circles together to create additional depth
TIPS:
- Create a shaped card by placing the top of the jar die above the score line of a folded card base
- Add another jar die over the top using foam squares so you can add the flowers down inside the two layers
- Use assorted flower dies to give your bouquet some variation
TIPS:
- Use two bunches of flowers for a fuller look
- Use the rustic add-ons to create custom flower containers
- Add different leaves and foliage for visual interest
