On Day 3 of our May Release, I’m excited to introduce you to the adorable, new Build-A-Lion stamp set and dies. Wait til you see all of the delightful possibilities that this group of products bring. It’s perfect for the new baby…boy or girl, and the sweetest way to say, “Welcome to the world, little cub!” Let’s start with a project I created using these new products.
I wanted to create a pink lion, so I opted for a less-traditional color scheme here, but love how the lion’s mane looks in pink. This new set of stamps and dies comes with so many different options to mix and match so you can dress up your lion to your heart’s content. There are two different manes to choose from. The curly mane is shown here on my card, and there’s a more streamlined, straight mane to select from too.
You’ll also find two different varieties of eyes to choose from, fur, paws, a bow, flowers, snout, cheeks, and so much more. I added the flowers and bow to my lion to accentuate my girl-themed baby card. Isn’t this little lion adorable sitting with her paws out to the side? Such an endearing little pose.
Behind my lion, I used the Border Bling: Dainty Deliveries die and the Border Bling: Skinny Star Frames die. I love how this frame of tiny stars coordinates so well with our baby-themed sets, but also with our Patriotic-themed sets…which you’ll be hearing more about next! The sentiment is from the Adorable Outfits stamp set and is stamped on a die cut Tiny Tag. I added it to the center of die cut Into the Blooms: Dahlias, topped with a button…because buttons and babies are a match made in heaven, I think!

Are you ready for my most favorite group of projects of the release? I can’t begin to tell you how much I adore our new Patriotic Dies and Celebrate Freedom stamps and dies! You’ll see why as we dive into my project.
Where to start? I love the bunting, the dimensional stars, the waving flag, and of course the tiny farm truck! The buntings just might be my favorites of the entire die set.
I added buntings under my truck, using Pure Poppy, Stamper’s Select White, and Bitty Big Enchanted Evening. I love the addition of the tiny polka dots in the bunting. My truck was colored with Spring Rain, and Ocean Tides ink. These little farm trucks are so much fun and very easy to create. Imagine one filled with pumpkins for fall, a pine tree for Christmas, hearts for Valentine’s Day, etc. I love the addition of the tiny flag, waving as the truck drives down the road. Such a fun image!
The dimensional stars as phenomenal! I draped them across the front of my card, die cutting them from cardstock, patterned paper, and gold metallic cardstock. The new Celebrate Freedom stamps and dies are such a superb Patriotic staple in your craft stash. It’s full of several different sentiments with coordinating die cuts. I added a double sentiment, stamping them in Stormy Sea ink. True love!

TIPS:
- Die cut the door and fenders twice and glue them together for more dimension
- Attached the sentiment with foam tape
- Add a frame to your card
TIPS:
- Stamp the sentiments in Versamark Ink on dark cardstock and emboss with gold embossing powder.
- Use foam tape on the few of the die cuts to add dimension
- Use jewels for the hub caps for a little bling
