Hello, Everyone! Welcome to Melissa’s Fab Friday Feature
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Hello and Happy Fabulous Friday! With Springtime right around the corner, I thought I’d create with our lovely Into the Blooms: Pansies dies with the hope that spring might get here just a bit faster.
I wanted to share an easy way to “step up” this card today. Both versions involve quite a few steps, but they’re easy, and this card can easily be “stepped up” with just a few extra steps. Let’s get started!
STEP 1: Begin by die cutting our Into the Blooms: Pansies from white cardstock. Sponge ink lightly over each surface area. I used Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, and Berry Sorbet for the petals and New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado for the leaves and stems. Spritz with water and let dry.
STEP 2: Using the Stencils Basics: Dots stencil and Berry Sorbet ink, stencils polka dots on the top two layers of the largest pansy.
STEP 3: Stamp tiny dots on top layer of pansy using the snow image from the Oh, Holy Night stamp set and Saffron Spice ink. Assemble pansy.
STAMPS: Framed in Florals, Oh, Holy Night
INK: Saffron Spice, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Ripe Avocado, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise
PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Bitty Big Sweet Blush
DIES: Into the Blooms: Pansies, Love to Layer: Torn Edges, Border Bling: Frame
OTHER: Stencil Basics: Dots, adhesive gems, patterned paper, trim, Stickles Glitter
