It’s Day 4 of our March Countdown and we’ve got some beautiful things to finish off this release. Introducing the new Dahlias Stencils and Dahlias stamp set and dies. Let’s get started with some lovely projects!
This beautiful stamp set coordinates with our Posies & Sprigs stamp set and dies, introduced yesterday. The Dahlias stamp set comes with multiple sizes of dahlias, in two different views…a positive image and a negative image. This will allow you to use these stamps in so many wonderful ways. I began my card by stamping my background block of white cardstock using both positive and negative images of my Dahlias, stamping in watermark ink and then heat embossing them using pink embossing powder.
I then sponged ink in Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbest, and Lilac Grace over my background, spritzing it with water, and letting it dry. I then created a decorative border across the bottom of my card by using the new Elegant Edges: Lace dies. I love the soft, subtle detail these dies add. They are so much fun! I then adhered this block of cardstock to my card front, framing it in using a Border Bling: Embossed Frame die cut.
I added die cut and stamped Dahlias and Posies & Sprigs to created my floral focal point, followed by my sentiment from the new Just Sentiments: Quotes stamp set. Such a fun card to create!
To carry the outside in, I stamped my sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Quotes stamp set on a die cut oval cut using the It’s a Sign: Hanging Frames Stitched Layers die. I embellished with another stamped Dahlia and glittered gold accents.

I’m so excited to share with you this next group of products. Introducing the new Berry Branches Stencils. Stencils are such a fun way to create your own patterned paper, background, focal points, and more! This new set is such a treat to create with. I can’t wait to pull mine out again.
The Berry Branches are a 4-step stencil and create the most beautiful, soft background images for this card. I began with my leaves, moved onto my branches, then the berries, and lastly the shading on the berries. I spritzed a bit of water over my background to create a soft, watercolor feel.
I created my large Dahlia by using the Dahlias Stencil. Don’t these stencils create such a soft feel? They’re kind of addicting once you start creating them, so enjoy! I topped my large Dahlia with my sentiment stamped from the Just Sentiments: Quotes stamp set and a few Posies & Sprigs flowers.
One of my favorite parts of this card are the decorative corners, cut using the Cornered: Lace dies. These are such fun, new products that take your card to the next level. They’re easy to line up and use and create magic in an instant! You’ll love them just as I do, I’m sure.

When Skies are Gray card

The die cut elements of the adorable “Feathered Friends 21” bird were colored using inks and a sponge dauber.
The sunny background was created by stamping the open images in “Dahlias” with VersaMark, then heat embossing them with white powder. I used a blending brush to add pale yellow ink over all of the embossed flowers. Then, I went back into some of the open spaces and stamped the solid “Dahlias” in pale yellow ink. Using my MISTI, I added more color over the top by repeat stamping a dark yellow in the center, and bright green ink along the flowers’ edges. A sentiment from “Just Sentiments: Quotes” was added to a stamped and die cut dahlia, with some leaves from “Into the Blooms: Peonies” tucked in behind. I couldn’t resist adding bits of sparkle on the flowers’ centers and bird’s feathers to complete this warm, sunshiny card!
