Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March Release. You are in for such a delightful treat today! Introducing the new Treasured Teacher, Treasured Teacher Apple Prints stamp set and dies and Cover Plate: Circles die.

I don’t know about you, but I love creating for teachers, whether it’s back to school or thanking them for the year they endured with our school-age children. The new Treasured Teacher Apple Prints stamp set gives you the most delightful mix of patterns you can add to your apple assortment. I love them all…the stars, gingham, flowers, tiny woven plaid, polka dots, stripes, etc. You’ll find a favorite of your own, I’m certain.

Our Treasured Teacher Apple Prints stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Treasured Teacher stamp set I also used on my card. Tiny scissors, mini ruler, crayons, paintbrushes, a worm and stem for your apple, more apple prints, and more. And of course, the darling sentiments that coordinate perfectly for the theme of Treasured Teacher.

Behind my apples and accessories, I’ve used the gorgeous, new Cover Plate: Circles die. I am in LOVE! This amazing die can be used for so many different styles, from bold and graphic, fun and quilted, to soft and subtle. Just wait until you see what the designers have done using their Cover Plate: Circles…AMAZING!

We consider our adorable Treasured Teacher stamp set an A++! You’ll love all of the fun images and sentiments that tie in perfectly with all things TEACHER! Let’s get started with some projects, shall we?

I can’t get over the cuteness of the tiny notebook page, horn-rimmed glasses, teensy crayon, and every little image included in this set. I couldn’t decide what to use, so I basically just used them all.

I wanted to create a chalkboard feel where I framed in my Treasured Teacher images. I chose woodgrain paper for my frame, using the Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frame. I then used Smoky Shadow cardstock and added a bit of of Fresh Snow ink to recreate a chalkboard look and feel. My sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder.

After adding all of my fun stamped and die cut images, I added my framed in focal point over a die cut Cover Plate: Circles die, cut from aqua patterned paper and layered over red polka dot paper. I love the look! To finish, I added a couple of faux wood buttons tied with Rustic Cream twine.
Sit back and enjoy what our designers have created…your jaws will be on the floor just like mine!

DIES: Treasured Teacher, Cover Plate: Circles, Border Bling: Skinny Stitched

TIPS:
- An option to adding a gift card or money to a card front is to add a “belly band” and adhere only the two sides and bottom of the band. That will leave a shallow pocket to insert a gift.
- Don’t forget the inside of your card! I added more embellishments and another sentiment to the inside for a more completed look.

TIPS:
- It’s always a bonus when a new stamp set works well with previously released sets (the books and tape measure)!
- Mini library clips make great embellishments with school-themed creations.
- Use up those leftover pieces of card stock by cutting them into strips to create a colorful background.
