Hi everybody, welcome to our next episode of The Great Cover-Up! Svitlana will be your guide today!
Let’s get started!
Recently 3D embossing folders became very popular. You can create an impressive texture using them. I’m sharing the idea of a similar effect you can create without an embossing folder.
I created the texture by adhering tone-on-tone foliage die-cuts of Into the Blooms: Dahlia onto a panel. To intensify the 3D effect I made each element dimensional by die-cutting it twice out of the same cardstock as the background panel and once out of a lighter cardstock. After die-cutting I stacked die-cuts using a liquid adhesive.
Perfect Match: Enchanted Evening was used for the background panel and Perfect Match: Spring Rain was used for the top die-cuts.
After I adhered all dimensional elements onto the panel I blended Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink onto them to make them blend a bit more with the background. I also pearlized the background by sprinkling it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls.
To make the sentiment I used the On the Border: Leaves Die Set. Several blue silver foil confetti were added to accentuate the card.
