The Great Cover-Up

“I saw the most adorable Halloween print on the Kohl’s website featuring a jar with some sprigs of foliage and a few primitive looking Halloween figures on sticks! I knew I could easily translate that same look and feel on a card, but by adding different layers of paper, give it more depth! The black star background was covered in the middle with the the two different Bitty Big patterns. After that, I added the stamped panel with the Weathered Wood Background stamped on it. I went one step further to accent it with the spider web! I love how it turned out!”

When I am creating cards for the Holiday one of my favorite techniques is to add touches of gold and sparkle to my projects. I stamped the dots on the vase and ornament topper, along with the Joy sentiment from the Grand Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set, in Versamark Ink then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut the card front with the Border Bling: Twinkle Die and added gold foil behind the stars. I added Confetti Stickles to the tips of the greenery and Icicle to the pinecones.
