Hi everybody, welcome to our next episode of The Great Cover-Up! This weekly feature is all about adding dimension and depth with layers. Today Melissa will be your guide in The Great Cover-Up so enjoy!
Let’s get started!
There are 9 layers on my card and I think I could add more! Layers are my favorite way of adding dimension and depth. Don’t be afraid to try some!
Adding a second Border Bling layer over my first, allowing the pattern to show from beneath creates a subtle effect.
Layering smaller die cut flowers on top of larger brings them to life and creates interest.
Start small and simple and then add layers as you go!
INK: Aqua Mist, Spring Rain, Bright Buttercup, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Mint Julep, Vintage Jadeite, Ocean Tides
PAPER: Aqua Mist, Stamper’s Select White, Bitty Big Mint Julep, Basket of Blossoms
DIES: Prominent Petals, Border Bling: Dainty Deliveries, Border Bling: Tin Stitch, Border Bling: Skinny Stitched, Hanging Frames Stitched Layers, Hanging Frames Layers
OTHER: adhesive gems
One winner will be chosen at random to receive a $25 gift certificate.
To enter, participants are required to create a layered Sympathy card using PTI/Ink to Paper supplies and Melissa’s technique or your very own! Share your finished project via the link below. We can’t wait to see what you make!
Only one entry per person and the deadline is May 12th at 3pm. This post will be updated with the randomly selected winner.
