Hi everybody, welcome to our new feature What do I do with this?  For this challenge our designers will get to try out some of these new tools and share the projects they created using them.  We’ve got some fun, new things coming to the Papertrey Ink store and our designers will show you how to use them so you’ll be comfortable incorporating them into your card-making and gift-giving.  Stay tuned for exciting and creative things coming your way!  We want to share what our designers love with you, and this gives you a first-hand look into their crafty-faves!

Let’s get started!

Embossing powder is a great way to add sparkle and shine to a project. I created this birthday card with the Big Balloons Stamp Set and Big Balloons Dies.
The balloon on the right is stamped in Versamark Ink on Aqua Mist Cardstock and then I embossed with WOW Embossing Powder in Neutral Ultra Shimmer. For the center tassel I stamped first in Aqua Mist Ink and a second time in Versamark Ink and then embossed. (Photo 2)
The balloon on the right is stamped on Stampers Select cardstock with Versamark Ink and embossed with WOW Embossing Powder in Mermaid Tails. I repeated the process for the balloon weights.  (Photo 3)
On the balloon in the center I stamped a sentiment form the Big Balloon Sentiments Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on Vellum and embossed in Mermaid Tails. Behind the Vellum I add a balloon die cut from Lemon Tart Cardstock.
I added the flowers bows, and streamers with the stamps and dies in the Big Balloon Stamp and Die Sets. The background is blended with Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart Ink and frames with the Skinny Stitched Frame Die.

PAPER: Stampers Select White,  Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush, Green Parakeet, Vellum, Bitty Big: Aqua Mist Color Collection
OTHER: WOW Embossing Powder in Neutral Ultra Shimmer and Mermaid Tails, Sequins, Foam Tap

 

 

Here’s a twist on a classic die-cutting technique that makes your flowers 3D! Check out the video for more details.

 

STAMPS: Lush Bloom
DIES: Cover Plate-Peony, Lush Bloom
INK:  Versamark, any Navy Blue dye ink
PAPER: Stampers Select White, Teal Cardstock, Navy Blue cardstock, Black Cardstock
OTHER: WOW Embossing Powder in Sea Salt and Sea Turtle and Opaque white

RULES

To enter, participants are required to create a card using embossing powder using PTI/Ink to Paper supplies. Share your finished project via the link below. We can’t wait to see what you make!
