Hello, Everyone! Welcome to Melissa’s Fab Friday Feature
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
I love Ink to Paper’s Hay Bale Dies and wanted to show you just one way of using them. These can be used in such fun ways and for my card today I wanted them stacked, dimensional, and as realistic as possible.
STEP 1: Before cutting hay bales from Vintage Cream cardstock, sponge Honey Nut ink over surface. Honey Nut combined with Vintage Cream cardstock creates a great hay color. Reserve pieces of straw left over from die cutting.
STEP 2: Loosely adhere hay bales together, allowing pieces to stick up and flow freely. Adhere reserved pieces of straw so that some pieces are sticking up above or below bales of hay. You can save this step for after your pumpkins are in place, tucking them under each pumpkins if desired.
STEP 3: Stamp and die cut pumpkins and leaves from Kraft cardstock using the Hello Pumpkin stamp set and dies. I used Honey Nut ink for my detailed layers on the yellow and orange pumpkins, stamping the solid layer in Summer Sunrise and Orange Zest. My green pumpkin was stamped in Ripe Avocado as the detailed layer and the solid layer was stamped in Spring Moss.
STEP 4: Using the Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals die, cut center from Vintage Cream cardstock and outside form Bitty Big Honey Nut. Sponge ink over the top portion of card to mimic a soft sky. Stamp sentiment near upper left corner using the A Little Wispy stamp set and Olive Twist ink. Lightly splatter with white paint.
STEP 5: Stack hay bales and pumpkins.
STEP 6: Add more pumpkins :)…and their leaves, loose straw, and gems. Mount on a cardstock base and add Honey Nut border to finish.
