Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Best Friends Card

My first project today just makes you want to smile with all of the bright colors it incorporates. Once you have the colors of your markers selected, it only takes a matter of minutes to put together.

Note the addition of the banner and companion sentiment. One of the cool things about Quoted: The Most is that when you interchange the banner sentiments, you can adapt the sentiment to fit different occasions and recipients

I heat embossed the main sentiment in white, leaving space for the the banner to be adhered separately.

Once I scribbled all of the stripes and watercolored over it, I was able to adhere the banner in place as the finishing touch.

  • STAMPS: Quoted: The Most (available July 15th)
  • INK: VersaMark, Hawaiian Shores, True Black
  • PAPER: Stamper's Select White
  • OTHER: White Filigree Embossing Powder, ZIG Clean Color Brush Markers

Be Okay Card

This project is pretty simple too, but definitely a pretty finished product that you can mass produce easily.

Watering can

The sweet watering can was put together with elements from Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers. The detail that Betsy has incorporated into these layers is just incredible!

I die-cut the frame and colored it with Copic markers, adding shading around the outside edges. I used a white gel pen to add stitching.

  • STAMPS: Keep It Simple: Okay, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers
  • INK: Aqua Mist, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Bright Buttercup, Green Parakeet
  • PAPER: Stamper's Select White
  • DIES: Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers die, Infinity Frames die
  • OTHER: Comic markers, Baker's Twine, White Gel Pen

Life & Heart Card

This adaptation of the new Quoted: The Most set is my favorite, which I designed specifically to use in creating cards for my husband. I think it is something many of you will enjoy using too.

I stamped the sentiment in Smokey Shadow onto Classic Kraft cardstock, adding the banner and banner sentiment last.

  • STAMPS: Quoted: The Most, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers
  • INK: Smokey Shadow, Canyon Clay, Classic Kraft, Cocoa Bean, Stormy Sea
  • PAPER: Vintage Cream, Classic Kraft
  • DIES: Mix & Mat: Postal dies, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers die

Something about elements of the ocean just screams relaxation to me, so I thought it would be fun to put together a series of wine tags together using the sea themed collage from Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers to do so.

Get back up tag

I started by selected a handful of beach friendly colors and started die-cutting and stamping the various elements.

Live it up tag

They came together quickly and really allows the seashells to take center stage.

Take it easy tag

I love the size of the folded tag you can create with the Mix & Mat dies, not only does it work well for wine bottles but they would really work well for inclusion with any gift or bag.

Trio 2

Lizzie Jones is joining me today, featuring Quoted: The Most and Mix & Mat: Postal die collection.

Love Birds Card

I'm loving how Lizzie used both of the birds from Give Love facing each other with this particular Quoted sentiment. It is a literal a perfect pair! The ink blending she did on both the birds and heart was such a good choice and adds so much depth and design.

Celebrate Today Card

The ink blending used behind the chevron cut outs is really accented by the way Lizzie popped the card front up with foam tape. She showcases so much versatility from the Quoted set by using the companion banner and sentiment alone.

All of the pastels used in this card create such a calming effect. By creating four cuts with the stitched border die included with the Mix & Mat: Postal die set Lizzie created a very clever background pattern. You can do this with any of the border dies from the entire Mix & Mat collection!

Betsy Veldman is joining me today, featuring Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers.

This gorgeous project definitely takes you right to the beach! The light touch of aqua inking at the top of the interior of the cloche adds so much balance and helps to draw the eye down to the shell elements.

  • STAMPS:  Cloche Quarters, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers, Infinity Frames Sentiments
  • INK:  Aqua Mist, Fine Linen, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Classic Kraft, Soft Stone
  • PAPER:  Stamper’s Select White, Clear Cardstock
  • DIES:  Cloche Quarters, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers, Mix & Mat: Postal
  • OTHER:  Double-sided adhesive foam sheet, ink blending sponge, micro beads

The colors here just pop from the page! The green background of the card helps to create a unified design with the leaves in both potted plants as well as the sentiment. And Betsy shows us that we should experiment with really layering it up! The postage stamp edge of the mat paired up with the scalloped edge is such a great detail.

  • STAMPS:  Cloche Quarters, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers, Garden Variety, Inspired: Prayer
  • INK:  Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Blueberry Sky, Green Parakeet, Soft Stone, Aqua Mist, Bright Buttercup, Orange Zest, Enchanted Evening, New Leaf
  • PAPER:  Stamper’s Select White, Green Parakeet, Clear Cardstock
  • DIES:  Noted: Scalloped A2, Mix & Mat: Postal, Cloche Quarters, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers

An amazing interpretation of a masculine card, the wooden stars add and earthy element while also helping to balance out the "heaviness" of the browns used at the bottom of the card. The littlest details can take a project to whole new level, like the tiny addition of the stripes on the boat base to coordinate with the coral.

  • STAMPS:  Cloche Quarters, Cloche Quarters: Summer Fillers, Postmarks, On the Wagon
  • INK:  Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening, Blueberry Sky, Classic Kraft, Cocoa Bean, Smokey Shadow, Berry Sorbet, Soft Stone
