Herb Notes by Betsy Veldman for Papertrey Ink

Instructions

  1. Diecut notecard bases from watercolor paper using the Noted: Scalloped A1 die.  Using the New Leaf re-inker and a flat, damp brush, watercolor a frame just inside the stitching line of the Noted card bases.
  2. Diecut the Seed Packet Frame and Seed Packet Frame 2 twice each from white cardstock and from black cardstock (need only the inside cut-out from the black).  Stamp the seed packet frames using True Black ink.  Stamp the details of the seed packets using New Leaf ink.
  3. Diecut the pre-printed herbs from the patterned papers.  Adhere one herb to each of the black seed packet frame inside cut-outs.  The thyme sprig is a little too large, so trim away excess.
  4. Stamp the herb names either on the black insert, or on the frame itself as shown.  If stamping onto the black portion, use Versmark ink and heat emboss with white powder.  Adhere seed packet frames and inserts to card bases.
