With those brief introductions out of the way, let's move onto the projects! You will notice lots of "tips" shared throughout the post. The tip images are embedded with the coordinating photo, so if you want to pin or save them as a reference, they will be all packaged together as single image!

Move Mountains Card flat closeup

My first project uses the new Quoted: Move Mountains set. I love how versatile this little mini can be, and the message the sentiment conveys has been so meaningful in my life, I am excited to be able to pass it along to others as well.

Side

Sentiment closeup

I heat embossed the images in white, then watercolored over them using Zig Clean Color Markers and a water pen.

Altered frame

The Mix & Mat: Flourishes frame can be so versatile. I cut the main frame twice, and trimmed the corners off as shown above. This could be adapted for nearly any shape or size.

  • OTHER: Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, water pen, White Filigree Embossing Powder

Copic Move Mountains Card

Here I am with the Quoted: Move Mountains set once again.

Copics progress

This time I wanted to add some color using Copic Markers. I have always loved the way they look on Kraft cardstock.

Banner

Sunrise

After you have stamped the banner over your base color, you can go back in and add a little shading to certain parts of the banner without fear of smearing the word. I also added a bit of a stitching detail around the outside edge using a white gel pen.

Supply-list

  • STAMPS: Quoted: Move Mountains (available March 15th)
  • INK: Fresh Snow, True Black
  • PAPER: Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White
  • OTHER: Copic Markers. White Gel Pen

  Be Strong Card

This card is super simple, but it is one of my favorites from today using the new Courage & Kindness set. I also used the dotted frame portion of the Mix & Mat die collection.

Floral sprig closeup

I am in LOVE with this pre-assembled, three-step floral cluster. There is one stamp for all those sweet flowers, another stamp with all the centers, and finally a third layer with all of the leaves. It comes together so quickly and easily, but looks absolutely amazing!

Sing to the Lord Card

There is something so cheery about this card, the large flowers from Courage & Kindness are so "happy"! Pair them up with the Year of Psalms: February sentiment, and you have a match made in heaven!

In progress

I stamped the florals first on a sheet of A2 white cardstock. These bright, bold colors just jump from the page.

Look at the detail in the flower centers! I just adore them!

Under His Wings Card

The brushstroke lettering used in the Year of Psalms: March set is nothing short of fabulous, not to mention this is one of my favorite scriptures as well.

In progress

I used multiple ink colors on the feathers and sentiment. I inked them with the lightest color first (Lovely Lady), then added a tiny bit of Raspberry Fizz to the tip and Amethyst Allure to the bottom portion.

Feathers

Since the feathers are two step images, I was able to go back over them and add the finer details in Amethyst Allure.

Friend Like You Card

I don't know about all of you, but I am pretty excited about Betsy's new Mix & Mat dies. As you can see, I have already used them in quite a few of my projects today.

4

On my next project I am using all three of the dies in the collection together.

Sentiment

Vellum banner

Down

I cut the pretty Ways to Say: Thank You die from my silver foil & cardstock creation. It almost looks like a fancy metallic accent you would purchase at the store. And I know I've already said it once, but I love the font Heather selected for this series! It's beautiful!

Supply-list

  • STAMPS: Keep It Simple: Friendship (available March 15th)

  • PAPER: Mint Julep, Aqua Mist, Silver Foil, Stamper's Select White, Vellum cardstock
  • DIES: Mix & Mat: Flourishes dies, Ways to Say: Thank You die
  • OTHER: Filigree White Embossing Powder

Rainbow Thank You Card

Anything can be gorgeous if you just sprinkle it with a little "rainbow"! This super simple card took only a few minutes to make and gives you yet another use for the versatile Mix & Mat dies.

Rainbow tip

Sentiment

I cut the diagonal stripe portion from white cardsotck. After removing the stripes, I colored them individually with Copic Markers. I adhered them in place and viola! I am really liking how quick and easy it is to grab the Ways to Say: Thank You set. I send out thank you cards ALL the time, so to have several different types of wording in an all inclusive set for such a popular occasion really makes it easy.

Supply-list

  • STAMPS: Ways to Say: Thank you (available March 15th)
  • INK: True Black
  • PAPER: Stamper's Select White
  • DIES: Mix & Mat: Flourishes die

Friend in Me Card

This is another easy card with a special clear window feature in the front cover. I think you are all going to really enjoy making creations for special friends using Keep It Simple: Friendship. It has some great wording in it that I know I personally will get a lot of use from.

Flower

I used the Courage & Kindness dies without the stamps, and instead just used solid cardstock.

Stephanie-Gold

Stephanie Gold is joining me today with projects using Courage & Kindness and Ways to Say: Thank You.

Be strong have courage 1

Stephanie is letting the sentiment take center stage on this gorgeous project. There is something so soothing about all of those blues and greens.

Dawn-McVey

Dawn McVey is joining me today in showcasing both of the new Year of Psalms sets, as well as the Mix & Mat: Flourishes die collection.

It would be such a blessing to win an entire year of PTI stamps! Since I retired from teaching, I love to spend my creative time sharing handmade kindness with family and friends, near and far. Just imagine all of the lovely kindness with so many new stamps! First, I would call my mom. She lives across the country and is my favorite person to create cards for. Next, I would tell my husband. He would definitely share my joy, for he sees how happy this creative passion makes me feel. It would be so exciting to share the news on my blog! Before long, family and friends would feel the love with each card that arrives in the mail. I absolutely adore everything you have shared today. It’s going to be so hard to choose from so many favorites! Your new tips are wonderful, so I’ve been pinning many of them. (Is there any way you could gather all of the tips in a special place on the PTI site? It would be an amazing source of inspiration!) I’m already excited about Stamp-a-faire 2017. All three days are reserved on my calendar. Heartfelt thanks for all of the joy and creativity you share with us. It makes us all winners! ♡

The first person I would tell would be my husband, who would probably be just as excited as I would be. (What stamper’s husband wouldn’t be?!) That would leave more money for paper & ink. As far as favorites for today…anything Betsy comes up with just blows me away. How can one person be so talented?

  • 48

I would be over the moon excited if I won! I love PTI and have had to limit my purchases as of late as my husband is now a full time Pastor and funds aren’t like what they used to be. ♥

Gorgeous cards, innovative stamps and dies, generous prizes, and teaching tips…why I love Papertrey Ink. I’m also equally inspired by how PTI has supported talented women who continue to bring their unique gifts and passions to us year after year. It’s been wonderful to watch their careers blossom. If I won a year of stamps, I would have to first remember to breathe, then call mom, and then figure out the best ways to pay it forward. Happy 10th anniversary to everyone at Papertrey Ink. Thank you for bringing joy, play, inspiration, and so much more. Much love and gratitude, Rita. PS…I’m giddy about those mix and match frames!

I’m intrigued by Heather’s “Ways to Say” series and Lizzie’s Offbeat Birthday sentiments look like great fun. Your Quoted series sounds amazing and Betsy’s Mix and Mat series is gorgeous. As always the products are out of this world and the design team projects are gorgeous.

As for Free Stamps for a Year were I to win, after recovering from fainting and traumatizing my husband with my screams, I would get in touch with my two PTI crafting buddies to let them know. My plan has always been that with each month’s release we’d take turns picking the sets we wanted. A prize this good has to be shared!

    Susan in AK says:
