This was a big year for Papertrey Ink, with lots of basics being introduced, that still stand the test of time today. We debuted our very first pad of paper in 2008, developing our signature wrap around cover for easy storage. Polka Dot Basics stamp set quickly became a permanent fixture on nearly every stamper's desk.
Quilter's Sampler was one of our top selling products for that year, prompting an additions set to be released just a few months after the original. Of course, the most memorable milestone for Papertrey Ink that year was the kick off of our color collection, including ink, cardstock and ribbons.
Bitty Baby Blessings is the baby set you have always wanted. This set features classic baby images in large and small scale which include: an elephant, duck, bunny, sailboat, carriage & onesie. The miniature images fit perfectly on the front of the onesie and on the sail of the boat. These images were also designed to fit in the open centers of our label stamps found in Holiday Treats & Limitless Labels. With many sentiments to utilize as well, you’ll never need another baby set again!

Floral Frenzy is a wonderful "basics" set that you will turn to again and again. Clean & simple floral designs in several formations make this set one of the most versatile botanical sets out there. You'll love mixing & matching the word centers and dotted centers. This will definitely become one of those sets that gets left out in your own stamp space, instead of put away!

Melissa says, "I have always loved Papertrey Ink's Flower Garden stamp set, but more now than ever before as I've been exploring new techniques. This stamp set lends itself to many different types of techniques that I am excited to try. My card today uses my watercolors and heavy embossing, which is one of my most favorite techniques right now. Next, I can't wait to see what will happen as I try paper-piecing with this sweet set."

Honey Bees is my favorite set from 2008. I cannot count the times I’ve used the grass stamp and all of those little flowers! Endless possibilities. Funny thing, I’ve rarely used the bees 🙂
I think either Floral Frenzies or Warm Happiness would be my choices for 2008. Sadly, I do not own either.
Heart Prints…There were several sets that I really like and enjoy using, but Heart Prints comes out every year around this time and stays out through May. It is the definition of timeless for me.
There are so many stamp sets to choose from in 2008. But the one I come back to and use all the time is Heart prints.
Beautiful stamps featured today, especially Bitty Baby Blessings. The only 2008 set I own is Simple Alphabet, so I’ll choose it for my favorite! Why it’s such a great set for me: upper and lower case letters with numbers and punctuation, a simple font in a size that works well with other sentiments, well-cut rectangles to make it easy to line up the letters close together, enough extra letters to make words, and an index sheet so I can find what I’m looking for.
I love Floral Frenzy because all these years later, I still reach for it. I love the floral images for their simplicity and the sentiments are so thoughtful.
I hadn’t started stamping yet but polka dot basics would have been on my list- love polka dots for background stamping & grounding images.
Flower garden or Garden of Life are my favorites from 2008. So timeless!
2008 was a great year! For me it’s a toss up between Birthday Basics (so useful to have nice birthday sentiments for inside as well as outside the card) and Quilter’s Sampler, from which I made many homespun style cards, for birthdays, Mother’s Day and baby cards.
I love garden of life. There are so many possibilities for endless cards!
I like (but don’t have — yet) Bittly Baby Blessings — the sentiments are unique in the stamping community.
Quilters Sampler..because it was also the First stamp set I bought at PTI..and just have been using it again the past days to make cards for a quiltster who has her B-day tomorrow..
Still LOVE this set so much!!
Bitty Baby Blessings is one of my favorite and most used sets. But Out On a Limb and Out On a Limb Sentiments are in my cart today! I have wanted these sets forever!
My favourite stamp set released in 2008 was Heart Prints.
So much fun to see where PTI’s design has grown! These are so sweet, love the Bitty Baby Blessings. Can’t wait to give my old stamp sets a kick to the future!
My favorite stamp set of 2008 which I do still have is honey bees. I can’t say I’ve used the bees a ton but I sure have used those flowers in a ton of projects.
What a year that was, 2008! So many memories and gorgeous stamping ideas. My favorite is the Garden of Life. Such a whimsical stamp set.
You wonderful designers make everything look marvelous! I really love the sweet “Bitty Baby Blessings!”
Spooky Sweets II is my favorite set from 2008 and I still own it and love it! Polka Dot Basics has to be mentioned as well, it’s a set I doubt I will ever part with.
Love the set with the sweet bird with the hat!
In 2008 I wasn’t a pro customer, but eventually bought but to baby. A great essential
So many great projects here, past and present.
It has to be Floral Frenzy from the sets featured today. Just love daisies!
Wonderful projects by all. Love the floral frenzy set best.
Guide Lines was such a unique kind of set, like none I had ever purchased, and I couldn’t wait to get it in my mailbox. My other fave was First Fruits. I STILL love that pineapple image so much!
I don’t own any of the featured stamp sets but I could see myself using the Garden of Life set. With all the inspiration given you need to revisit all your old sets and use as if they are new again.
Bitty Baby is great, so many ways to use it.
After looking over the beautiful cards displayed, I have to say my favorite is “Out on a limb”. It is so versatile and lovely!
Baby Blessings is a delightful set!
Warm Happiness is still a favorite of mine, love those sweet mugs.
Thank you for helping me to fall back in love with these forgotten stamp sets!
Quilter’s Sampler is the only 2008 set I own. It honors the women who have quilted these amazing patterns to grace their homes and be passed down lovingly in families throughout generations.
Polka Dot Basics was my favorite for 2008. It was hard with heart prints in there and also bitty baby, but polka dot basics is a classic staple and therefore my favorite from that year 🙂
My favorite set from 2008 would have to be First Fruits. I grew up on a wheat farm in Oklahoma and every Sunday at church during offering we would sing about giving our first fruits to the Lord.
Polka Dot Basics is still a go to for me. It’s perfect for adding just a little texture or pop of color. I think it’s one of my most used. The CD case has seen better days for sure!
My favorite, most-used stamp set from 2008 is Made of Snow. I love to make the cute little snowmen and accessorize them to my crafty heart’s content.
FLOWER GARDEN! It was in my first order I purchased from PTI and is probably my most used! I love it’s versatility and designs and will definitely be pulling it out today to play along with the challenge!
I have 3 of the sets you showcased today! Still reach for Garden if Life and Flower Garden! So much fun to see new ideas for these stamp sets!
I have always adored the Boards And Beams stamp and die sets, not sure why I haven’t purchased it as yet. lol
It’s hard to pick just one favorite stamp set from 2008 as there were so many wonderful ones released. I will go with my most used set from that year, which is Birthday Basics. Such great fonts and classic birthday sentiments.
My favorite stamp set from 2008 has got to be the Boards and Beams. I love anything that showcases houses.
All of these are great sets but Floral Frenzy is my favorite. Theimages & sentiments are fabulous. Also Polka Dots basics is another set I will not part with.
I don’t own any of these sets (found you in 2010) but i love the adoable baby set!!!
There were so many great sets in 2008 it’s hard to choose a favorite. Polka Dot Basics is definitely up there. It’s one I still use today & is great for adding just a little something to a card from when it needs just a little “pop”.
I love several sets that were released in 2008, but I probably use the Polka Dot Basics set (along with the other 2 polka dot sets released later) the most. I love being able to make my own polka dot background in any color, and also have embossed polka dot paper in any color I want. Polka dots just make everything better! 🙂
I really loved Mailbox Greetings. I used to make cards for our soldiers overseas, who then sent them back home to loved ones. (No Hallmark stores in the deserts of Afghanistan!) This set was one of my favorites for those cards.
I really love that you are showing stamp sets from the past years. I can’t believe all that I missed! I’m also enjoying going month to month, year by year to catch up, and find the year and month many of my PTI sets were made. I have Boards and Beams and Home for the Holidays from 2008, and I think I bought them in 2016. Bitty Baby Blessings could be in my future.
One of my favorite and go-to sets still today is Out On A Limb! Hard to believe I’ve owned it that long!!
The out on a limb set just went in my wish
Iist
Polka Dot Basics hands down is my favorite from 2008. It’s probably my most used set to this day. I love it!
Boards and Beams was definitely a favorite of mine. I also love Out on a limb. Looking back has been fun!
Floral Frenzy, hands down, is my favorite set from 2008, but running a close second is Bitty Baby Blessings. Both sets are timeless.
GARDEN of Life is my fave out of all the 5 sets shown here from 2008. It is so versatile and pretty.
Bitty Baby Blessings is a classic set. Love to paper piece with it. So cute!
I don’t own any of the 2008 sets, but I do love the timeless look of the Bitty Baby Blessings. I rarely make baby cards and I don’t own any baby themed sets, but this set would be just perfect to have on hand.
I really like the Garden of Life stamp set because flowers are timeless.
Floral Frenzy, for sure! Love Micheles’ modern interpretation of the set in her card today.
I love First Fruits from 2008! I have used it over and over and can make a wide range of cards using it. It’s timeless!
I bought Just Hatched at a used stamp sale and have always wondered “why would anyone NOT want this?” I think it’s a fabulous set.
I didn’t know about PTI until 2011 so these sets are new to me. Bitty Baby Blessings and Out on a Limb are now on my order list!
I think Quilter’s Sampler was one of my first Papertrey Ink stamp purchases. I love that I can make mini stamp quilts with it.
Garden of Life is such a great set. Clean and simple designs that create truly elegant cards.
I just went back to look at all the 2008 sets and I do still have 3 of them! To me they are timeless classics that I haven’t parted with…heart prints, mini messages, and birthday basics. Still use them now!
I love, and still use Guide Lines, Polka Dot Basics and Simple Alphabet! The thought to detail, and perfect alignment in these sets is astounding!
It is so fun to see all these “older” sets being featured. And they are all timeless stamp sets that could be released today!! Great job PTI!! My favorite might have to be Bitty Baby Blessings, so sweet!
March 2008: Birthday Basics Stamp set…because you can never have enough basics…it’s the little black dress of birthday greetings.
It’s such fun to look back together! I just discovered Papertrey Ink three years ago and it has quickly become my very favorite stamp company. I love all of the florals and Bitty Baby Blessings is a bundle of joy. I think the oldest PTI stamp in my collection is Quilter’s Sampler. It’s a real treasure! ♡
The only 2008 set I own is Guidelines, which I bought from someone selling it. Then I forgot what I thought I could do with it, so it’s never been used. One of my goals this year is to make something with it! I also wanted the snowflakes before they went into The Vault, but didn’t let myself get them. Heart Prints is still on my wishlist. Love that you’re reviewing year by year–so fun! Beautiful projects–congrats to the highlighted customers!
I like the Forest Friends set from 2008.
What a fun and inspiring trip through the lovely sets and projects!! Beautiful work. I am in love with the graceful beauty of the Out on a Limb set. So serenely elegant.

Bitty Baby Blessings is such a cute set. I wish I had it now that I needed several baby shower cards in the past two years.
So many beautiful creations!! I love the Merry and bright stamp set! 🙂
I adore Bitty BaBy Blessings! I could definitely use that set because I get lots of requests for cupcake toppers and cards. So sweet!!!!
I have several stamp sets from 2008, but the ones I use and love the most are Birthday Basics, Bitty Baby Blessings, and Father Knows Best.
Birthday Basics is my most used set out of all the sets that PTI has released. The mix of fonts and sizes of “happy birthday” come to the rescue when I’m trying to fit the stamp to my design. And the sentiments with their simple font complement any design and are gender neutral. This set is as close to perfect as you can get. (I wish you would try for perfection and release a Birthday Basics 2.)
I love Garden of Life and the layering possibilities! So pretty!
So enjoying this walk down memory lane! Gorgeous projects! I love Bitty Baby Blessings and have used it so many times!!! Out on a limb is catching my eye today!
So many excellent sets came out in 2008. I love Out on a Limb and Teacher’s Apple – use them still; but I think my favorite would be Birthday Basics – I love the combo of fonts and inside/outside sentiments.
I have so many favorite sets from 2008 but I can confidently put Wise Owl and Teachers Apple (still my favorite teacher set) at the top for the year. I also really enjoyed Birds of a Feather and the beautiful font it used for the sentiments.
Had Bitty Baby Blessings but only used once so sold it. Guess I’d go with Floral Frenzy as a 2008 favorite. One can never go wrong with flowers!
Really like the floral sets mentioned this morning and I do not have any of them. How did I miss those sets? Beautiful creations ladies! Thank you.
Spooky Sweets II is a favorite of mine from 2008. I love that circle image and I use other stamps in it as well.
Everyday Blessings would have to be my favorite from 2008. I see it is still available and I need to add that to my cart! I think I love it because it’s a reminder not to take “stuff” too seriously and remembering to be thankful for the blessings we do have.
I have always loved the Quilter’s Sampler and I think Bitty Baby Blessings is an adorable set. Garden of Life is a wonderful floral set and I remember falling in love with the bag that Nichol made with it! I found Everyday Blessings, which a customer designed, very inspirational and still enjoy using it.
Birthday Basics is an easy pick for me. I use it all the time! Wow, can’t believe it’s from 2008; that’s likely about the time I got it, so many years of use with many more to come!
2008 Holiday Tags – a set I still own and use every Christmas!
Heart Prints was my favorite from 2008. I use it every year for Valentine’s, this year with Cover Plate:Hearts. It’s definitely a classic!!
I have to go with Pond Life. I use it for my outdoorsy husband!
I think my 2008 fav is “Out on a limb”, because it´s so versatile, but the “Bitty Baby Blessings” are very cute, too.
Out on a Limb is my favorite because it is the first stamp set I saw of yours in Paper Crafts magazine. I love the beautiful stamp set and came to your website to check it out. The rest is history. My credit card statement has Papertrey Ink on it every month… sigh…
i own out on a limb. what a great set!
WOW!! All of the cards are just absolutely stunning!!!
I really like Floral Frenzy and Out on a limb!! Such beautiful stamps sets!!
I love all of the stamp sets featured here, but I would have to say that my favourite stamp set of 2008 is Polka Dot Basics – this is probably my most used Papertrey Ink stamp set. It is a solid basic that can be used in so many ways – love it!
I love quilts and making quilts so the quilter’s sampler set and its add on set have to be my favorite 😉
Since I love birds and bird stamps I really like out on a limb and birds of a feather.
I think my favorite set from 2008 was Birthday Basics–it is such a classic and a set I am still using! Women of Life is also one of my favorites!
Made of Snow is one of my favorites from 2008! I have a ‘thing’ for snowmen, and I tend to collect them! It’s a charming stamp set!
I love that you showcased the note box set using Floral Frenzy. We made them on the “cruise”…now, that is a trip down memory lane!
Lots of beautiful sets & inspiration from 2008! My first PTI order was in 2008 and included my 2008 favorite, Rustic Branches by Heather Nichols – such a great set with classic images & simple sentiments.
Bitty Baby Blessings. Without a doubt. I used it to make baby books for each one of my 4 g’kids, based on Nichole’s project. They turned out great, my dtr-in-law loved them, & the kids still look at them to this day!
I accidentally posted this under the 2007 comments. Dang! Here it is again – in the correct place this time.
My fave is Out On A Limb because it can be used for all the seasons and for a variety of occasions.
Going back in time with you is a a wonderful trip. It’s amazing to see how PTI’s stamp designs are both vintage AND modern!
My favorite stamps from 2008 are the three sets of “Out On A Limb” because they can be used to create cards for any occasion, season or holiday!
Hi PTI 🙂 I don’t have these, but I looked thru all the 2008 sets and I love “Made of Snow” and “Mixed Messages”, I need to put that one on my wish list 🙂
I’ve got Out on a limb, so I might have a go at a card using this one, but my favourites from 2008 are hands down the Birthday basics set, which I still use all the time, and the Holiday tags. Not a year goes by that I don’t use the Warm winter wishes image to package up hot chocolate.
I have the “Flower Garden Sentiments” from 2008 Stamp Sets and i´ve just used on of it 2 weeks ago. You see, it´s still present.
My favorite stamp set from 2008 would have to be “Birthday Basics”. I am always looking for “innies” for my cards. Thanks for another chance to win! 😀
If I had to choose a favorite stamp set from 2008 I guess I would choose Pond Life and Father Knows Best as a close second. Masculine cards are some of my least favorite cards to make, and both of these stamp sets do the job.
I have Polka Dot Basics and Love Songs from 2008. Love Songs I always use for Valentines and I use Polka Dots quite a bit.
I am totally enjoying reading these “a look back at the past 10 years” posts. I have only been a PTI fan for about the past 5 years. I don’t have any of the sets mentioned, but like all of us have lots of flower sets. However, as I scroll thru the post I find myself saying – Oh, I don’t have any flower sets that I can do that, or that! So thanks for the inspiration and wish me happy shopping!
I love all floral sets, but I really like Floral Frenzy.
Love Bitty Baby Blessings & Garden of Life! Those are forever sets!
Out on a Limb is probably my favorite set from 2008. I love the variations for the limbs, and the heartfelt sentiments!
I like out on a limb so much I bought it twice!
My fave was the Polka Dot Basics, truly a staple for any stamper. You can never go wrong with dots for any card occasion.
2008’s Spooky Sweets II stamps & dies are my favorite Halloween Set! Anything Halloween is so fun! Love to pop the die-cut witch, cat, and spider atop the background.
I have two favorites from 2008…Everyday Blessing and the Quilter’s Sampler. Both are great sets!
Floral Frenzy is my favorite because a daisy has always been my favorite flower. Congratulations on 10 years of great success! PTI is my favorite stamp company. ?
I love the Out on a Limb set. Very cute branches and I love how you added some many other elements on the branches for your projects. Very cute set!
I really like Bitty Baby Blessings, although I don’t own it and it’s still just on my wish list. Too many good stamp sets released every month to be able to go back into the older sets too much!!
Polka Dot Basics and Honey Bees. But looking at todays posts I’m also loving Out on a Limb and Background Basics: Stars. Great idea to have these reviews. I like going back for a second look.
I’m enjoying your peeks into the past. Bitty Baby Blessings is my favorite of the ones you’ve shown. All the stamps look as fresh now as when you introduced them in 2008.
I love Boards and Beams. Such a wonderful and versatile set. It’s neat going back through the stamps each year… I get some new inspiration looking at sets I’d kinda forgotten about.
My favorite 2008 stamp set is out on a limb. Love everything the design team shown today using this set.
I love Out on a Limb – so many pretty samples! 🙂
Turns out I own PTI set form 2008……Flower garden. I’m sure I didn’t purchase it in 2008 though. I hadn’t started following PTiI until 2009 or 2010. I’m sure I wanted it because the petals and he stems could be stamped in different colors. Bitty Baby Blessing was never on my radar until now!
Out on a limb is my favorite set today. There are so many ways to use this set. And the inspiration cards are just amazing!
I love Out on a Limb. I love how you can mix and match the images for the limb and create cards for many occasions. Another favorite, which I don’t have, is the Flower Garden set. It is a classic floral set that can be used time and time again.
Oh man, that year is tough for me to pick just one. I love Boards & Beams, but I also love the Quilter’s Sampler series and the Snowfall sets. Polka Dot Basics is one I’ve used a lot! I have a weakness for polka dots. But I still have to say that I love the houses and little details in Boards & Beams the best!
There are too many to count, but Out on a Limb is a FAV that use all year long, over and over as background. hugs
I still knew nothing about PTI in 2008, so I was completely “safe” each and every month! Looking at the offerings for that year, I would have to say that Boards & Beams is my favourite, but there are some others that really appeal to me also.
I didn’t discover PTI until later, so it’s fun to see past products. Out on a Limb caught my eye today.
Polka Dot Basics was by far my favorite stamp set! I used it all of the time and still pull it out from time to time today!
My favorite is Out on a Limb… I have used it several times and its always a great background stamp set.
I think Out on a Limb would be my pick. I love how it can be turned to any season and with little additions of birds etc you can add lots of character. The style is timeless!
I love the Honey Bees set! Adorable and versatile.
Out on a limb is my favorite from this post on the past. I love branches as a background and this had so many great choices to layer.
The two I use most are Bitty Baby Blessings and Boards & Beams.
Love Out on a Limb, but I also loved Spooky Sweets 2 (the circle frame and chocolate sentiment), Heart Prints, Teachers Apple, Mixed Messages, and of course Polka Dot basics.
Mixed Messages is still a go to set for me.
Out on A Limb is a set I bought way back when but hardly ever use. The ideas on your blog from the other designers motivates me to pull it out & use it again!
You can’t go wrong with Bitty Baby Blessings. Timeless!
My favorite set from 2008 is Polka Dot Basics. I love polka dots and love that you can create different color backgrounds.
I agree with Lizzie, a great baby set is a must in your stamping collection. I don’t own Bitty Baby Blessings, but now I wish I did! Darling projects!
bitty baby blessings is a cute classic
My favorite set from 2008 was mixed messages. I just loved the versatility of it. It is well worn and I still use it today!
My favorite is honey bees. Mixed messages have been a go to for me as well
My favorite stamp set from 2008 is definitely Heart Prints. I love all the pretty patterns on the hearts, and the sentiments are fantastic and pretty, too. I smile every time I use this set. Love it! Loving all the beautiful design team samples today. So much fun to go back and see these older products with fresh eyes.
I liked Honeybees and Garden of Life from the 2008 release. Pond Life and Pond Life sentiments also came out that year. The belated birthday sentiment from that set has come in very handy over the years.
I picked up “Out on a Limb” last spring when Hanne was thinning her stamps a bit. I have yet to play with it but the post today is quite inspiring. My favorite 2008 set is “First Fruits”. It is so chic!
Baby Blessings and Out of n a Limb, still are well loved stamps!
My favorite 2008 stamp set is First Fruits, which I purchased last month as part of the anniversary sale. Pineapples are a hot image in 2017, yet both the wheat and pineapple in First Fruits beat anything available today. Having said that, both the Guide Lines and Shape by Design sets intrigue me, with their geometric images and still unique designs.
My favorite is the Out on a Limb set–so versatile.
My favourite set is Out On a Limb, and I still use it today!
I don’t have any of these stamps as I just learned about PTI about 2 years ago. My favorite is the Bitty Baby Blessings and I look forward to using the set when the grandchildren start arriving!
These posts are so much fun! I love Floral Frenzy, so many cute flowers and other designs you can stamp! Really love the half flower look!
I wasn’t a customer yet and based on today’s post, I missed out. 🙂 I definitely would have snagged Garden of Life right away.
I have just looked over the huge number of 2008 stamp sets, and Quilter’s Sampler and it’s addition set jumped out at me!
I still use Bitty Baby Blessings all the time for baby cards – and I use Mazel Tov every year to make cards and gift tags for the Jewish doctors I work for, Boards and Beams is a wonderfu set as well as Pond Life!
Once again it is so difficult to choose a favoutite, mine would be either Bitty Baby Blessings or Out on a Limb.
My favorite is Garden of Life. I bought it used not too long ago, so it is so fun for me to see it used by the DT today. It’s given me lots of inspiration.
A friend introduced me to PTI, when I was looking for a stamp set with Bible verses. The 2008 stamp set, “Everyday Blessings” is one of the first PTI stamp sets that I purchased, and it is still one of my favorites.
I love Father Knows Best because of the trees — they just really appeal to my eye.
Floral Frenzy is so pretty – I don’t have that set!
Teachers Apple. I love all the possibilities you can use the apples for. And oh so cute!
I really got a lot of use out of Out on a Limb. One of my favorites of 2008.
I don’t think I knew about Papertrey Ink in 2008, but Bitty Baby Blessings would certainly be a set that I would choose!
Still love Teacher’s Apple. Great for teacher’s gifts!
Boards & Beams is my favorite 2008 stamp set. Love the ‘homey’ sentiments to go along with the cute houses.
I think it is true that you have to have a baby set, and Bitty Baby Blessings is sure precious!
Polka Dot Basics is one set I’ve used throughout the years. One of my favorites..
My very first PTI set was Mega Mixed Messages from 2008 and I reach for it ALL THE TIME. So great to look back at all the old sets.
I LOVE Honey Bees. I just used it this week on my Dangles card.
It is a classic!!! I wasn’t a customer…yet!!!
I really like the Out on a Limb set and how you can capture each season!
The Garden of Life is my fav. because of the variety of floral images..elegant and whimsical all in one set.
Oh gosh, Guide Lines called to the engineer in me and is still among my favorites (and the patterned paper made it so much easier to use)
2008 was a great year! It was the first year I discovered Papertrey Ink!
My favorite set from 2008 was Bitty Baby Blessings. I still make baby cards with it today!
Floral Frenzy and Out on a Limb are favorites from the projects shown today! Timeless… Wishing they were in a current release!
Truly enjoying these trips down memory lane and seeing familiar names from some of the design team members back then. I think my first two purchases were 2008 release items – Quilters Sampler and related sets and Rustic Branches which started my love of all things Pinefeather. Polka Dot Basics, Bitty Baby Blessings and 2008 Holiday Tags are all favorites too!
Bitty Baby Blessings would be my favorite. That set is really cute and darling cards were showcased by the DT.
My favourite 2008 set is “Garden of Life”. I love floral sets, and there are so many possibilities with this set!
I love looking at the old projects, it brings back such memories of the trends and techniques which everyone loved designing with.
My favorite 2008 stamp from this post is “Out on a Limb”. It’s both elegant and simplistic.
I love Floral Frenzy because for their simplicity and the sentiments are so thoughtful.
There were so many great sets and hard to pick just one, so I will pick a few. 🙂
1. Out On A Limb & OOAL Sentiments
2. Father Knows Best
3. Love Songs
4. Heart Prints
5. Bitty Baby Blessings
6. Simple Alphabet
7. Honey Bees
8. First Fruits
I love each one of these sets and will always continue to use them.
Out on a limb – timeless and so versatile!
I love Garden of Life! I like the two-step flowers in it.
Garden of Life is my favorite from 2008.
Tough choice but really love Out On A Limb. So many ways to use it.
My favorite set from 2008 is Everyday Blessings. I love the sentiments in this set. “Someone remembers. Someone cares. You’re name is whispered in someone’s prayers” is my favorite sentiment of all of my stamp sets. Feeling forgotten myself a lot of the time, this sentiment touches my heart. It’s perfect for someone who has lost a loved one on a card a couple months after the death to remind them that everyone hasn’t gone “back to normal” and forgotten them while they are still grieving.
I would have to say polka dot basics and garden of life!
This trip down memory lane has been so sweet. Love how designs have changed and old stamps can be still current. I have a few of the 2008 release sets, but I love the Love Song Stamp set- simply adorable!
I cannot believe how fast time has flown and how much PTI has changed and grown. I own and still use constantly polka dot basics.
My favourite of your 2008 releases is out on a limb. The branches are just so delicate and beautiful. Perfect for creating scenes, frames or just all by themselves in gorgeous CAS creations.
Polka Dot Basics is a must-have for me. And, having never met a tag I didn’t love, the 2008 Holiday Tags are also some of my favorite stamps. Happy anniversary, PTI.
Garden of Life was the set I used for my first project submission to a PTI! Although I did not win anything I had a lot of fun putting together those projects!
I love bitty baby blessings. There isn’t anything cuter than a little baby onesie…except what goes inside of one!
It’s hard to pick favorites, but the Out on a Limb is so versatile. I wanted to use that set for my project, but I’m making bookmarks for our librarians and so I chose Floral Frenzy just because the bookmarks are thin.

I have 4 of the 5 sets showcased today, but probably my most used set from that year is Birthday Basics. It is so much fun to see these timeless projects from previous years (some of them I remember seeing when they were first shown), and then see a new card with the same set.
Pretty stamp sets from 200. My favorite is Garden of Life. I also love Father Knows Best from that year.
Oh that FLower Garden and the bag made with it are just fabulous! I think it’s cool that halftone circles are back IN, too. Timeless sets!
Everyday Blessings is my favorite stamp set from 2008. It is a classic, timeless and elegant set!!
Floral Frenzy is so versatile!!! I love that it can be used in so many clean-and-simple ways.
My fav for 2008 is the only one I own, Birthday Basics. If it’s possible to wear out a stamp set it would be this one – a great sentiment set!
My favorite 2008 set is Garden of Life. I brought it out to play along with the challenge, and it’s just one of those sets that is endlessly inspiring to me. I also find that it is pretty timeless. It’s one of my favorite floral sets!
While it difficult to pick one with the Quilter’s series, Forest Friends, Snowfall, Warm Wishes, I’d have to go with Honey Bee : ).
Bitty Baby Blessings has long been a favourite of mine. I use it over and over again. Love it. Cheers.
Hard to make a choice but it would have to be Bitty Baby Blessings. It has so many timeless images and is still so darned cute!
my favorite 2008 set is, of course, Mazel Tov (and additions). still to this day I am head-over-heels in love with the elegant font for the sentiments and the gorgeous scroll-work in the designs.
Bitty Baby Blessings is definitely my favorite set of the year. I still use it almost every time I need a baby card. Love it!
I only own two set from 2008 but ordered way later b/c I missed PTI until 2009.
Quilters Sampler is a favorite of mine that I have never purchased. Adding it to my wish list!
I have the baby set and Out on a Limb. I love them both and I especially use the baby sentiments all the time.
I love Boards & Beams from 2008.
I love the apples from the Teachers Apple set and the Merry and Bright trees. What fun patterns and possibilities.
My favorite 2008 stamp set is boxes, bags and tags stamp set, I used them a lot, they are great for gifting tags!
Love Bitty Baby Blessings! I use it heaps! Must admit that I have all the featured stamps plus many more! ?
I have and still use Quilters Sampler!! Love it and the accessory set! Quilts never go out of style, and I have a lot of quilting friends….and quilts!! It’s so much fun to color the blocks and make paper quilts!!
I have and love Bitty Birthday Blessings. I think the images are classic and darling.
Out on a limb would be my favorite because I love how versatile it is!
Everyday Blessings is one of my most used sets. Love it!
All this amazing inspiration has motivated me to pull oldie but goodie sets that haven’t been used in awhile.
Out on a Limb and Garden of Life are the two that I like the most from this year. It’s great seeing the cards that were done with stamp sets of the past.
Bitty Baby Blessings is the one I wish I had. Wonderful set and so useful!
I have 4 of the 5 sets shown, and love them all. Floral Frenzy might be my favorite from this year. Loving seeing all the projects again!
I had just discovered PTI in 2008 and I’ve been in love with your products ever since. One of my most used stamps has been Heart Prints.
My favorite of this year was Shapes By Design. I also used Garden of Life a lot as well. I fell in love with Guide Lines and enjoyed creating my own patterns.
Some many beautiful florals! My favourite however would be Boards & Beams – the homes are so beautifully detailed!
I discovered that I was not yet a customer. I really like the Garden of Life.
Out on a limb was sweet and simple but so elegant! Love it!
Bitty Baby Blessings is such a classic set. I use it a lot.
Oh dear, I don’t have any of the spotlight(ed) stamp sets today, but I am in love with the “branch” set, gonna put that on my list.
Great cards, thanks
Garden of Life has TIMELESS floral images!!
Come on! Floral Frenzy for the win.
I have to say that the “Out on a Limb” set drew me the most. I love the simplicity of it. Elegant and classy.
Love flower Garden!
My favorite set from 2008 is the Silent Night set… I love the sentiments! They are just perfect! I purchased this set on the forum a few years ago and I use it every year!
Borders & Corners Mini is a favorite set from 2008. I’ve made some pretty wedding box favors with this set. Thanks!
Floral Frenzy is my pick for 2008. I just pulled it out this week for one of the sentiments included in it.
Out On a Limb is one of those sets that “plays well with others”, one of my all time faves. I automatically pull it out with any floral or outdoor scene card just for a little extra something.
For me, it’s a toss up between Floral Frenzy and Polka Dot Basics…
I’ve used Flower Garden for so many different projects, from cards, to fabric projects and other mediums.
I pull out Heart Prints for many occasions. I also use Made of Snow a lot. Really enjoying the look past, present and future.
I’m wishing I owned Out on a Limb and Garden of Life. Hello Wish List!
Garden of life! I was so excited when I got this set!
Floral Frenzy & Polka Dot Basics are my FAVORITE!! =)
I came on board with PTI in 2012 but I do have 4 sets from 2008. Wise Owl and Wise Owl Bellies, Out of the Box and Heart Prints. Of those 4 I use Heart Prints a ton! The hearts are a wonderful, full, heart shape and the patterns make it easy to use for multiple applications.
I have so many favorites from 2008… Mixed Messages, Birthday Basics… both sets that I still use to this day! But Mailbox Greetings is my absolute fave from 2008!!
I only have 2 of the sets shown today. I love Guide Lines and Boxes, Bags and Tags Stamp Set.
Keeway’s Garden of Life card was the inspiration I needed to make some new cards with this older set. It now feels brand new all over again. This celebration of past, present, and future has fired up my creativity.
Out on a Limb Sentimentd is the best stamp from 2008. It covers so many categories in one set. Of course the Out on a Limb is pretty yoo, but the sentiments is very versatile.
Teachers apple is probably my favorite for the year- so fun to look back at when these came out- and happy I am still using them!
Bitty Baby Blessings – a go to when ever you need a baby card – it is all right there
I love the simplicity of the Out on a Limb set, and that it can be used year round.
After looking at all these beautiful sets, I cannot believe I don’t have a PTI floral. Of course, how could I choose?
Out of the Box, so great for birthdays, and coordinated with so many punches.
Love the agelessness of Heart Prints from 2008!
Spooky Sweets is my favorite set that I own from this year.
Your linky closed early on this challenge??? – I wasn’t able to add my card on Monday 2/20 EST at 9:48 am ???? here is the link to my card: it’s the first card using out on a limb
createwithjulia.blogspot.com/2017/02/sympathetic-birthdays.html
As a coffee fanatic, I have to go with Warm Happiness as my favorite set from this year.
It’s a tie! Boards and Beams and Spooky Sweets. I love Boards and Beams for so many reasons and I love and use Spooky Sweets every Halloween! Would not part with either one!!
MIxed Messages was one of my first PTI purchases and still used regularly!
My favorite is “Mixed Messages Stamp Set.” This had every sentiment that a beginning card maker (like myself) needed!!!
I love the Floral Frenzy. It is such a pretty set. I can see some lovely cards with this set.
Quilter’s Sampler and Bitty Baby Blessings. Both have a special place in my heart.
Since I didn’t know about PTI between the years of 2007 to 2010, I discovered these favorites in the years after their release. And of course, there are many favorites, so I just can’t pick one. Instead, I’ve listed the ones that still make my heart happy: Everyday Blessings, Out on a Limb, and Out on a Limb Additions. Love Papertrey and the great products and inspiration you regularly put up!
I don’t have any sets from 2008 – didn’t find PTI until 2011. I love the projects made with Out on a Limb so that is now on my wish list!
Polka Dot Basics is such a timeless set and still used quite a bit today!
Linda
My favorite 2008 stamp is the Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set. I love that it has little bitty matching stamps for the larger stamps. I like using the little ones on tags.
Out on a Limb is a classic set. Love the delicate images and how you can combine the limbs with other images in other sets.
It isn’t the 21st, but the collection says closed. Here’s my card https://ggnursecreations.blogspot.com/2017/02/running-out-of-time.html
Thanks!
Garden of Life is such a pretty set. I recently purchased a gently used set, but have yet to use it.
My fav from 2008 is Polka Dot Basics — my set has gotten a lot of mileage! The ultimate timeless stamp set!
I was hoping to get my post linked up but it closed early so here is the link:

Bitty Baby Blessings! I actually bought it in 2015 when my baby sister got pregnant.
Bitty Baby Blessings is definitely one of the best baby sets out there, so classic!
My favorite set is the Garden Of Life, so beautiful and so much creativity with this set. Love the DT examples too.
I still use Bitty Baby Blessings every time I need a baby card, so it’s definitely a favorite.
My favorite set from this year would be the Quilter’s Sampler, although I don’t actually own it! Close second, though is the classic Polka Dot Basics, which is definitely one of my well-used and well-loved favorites!
From this year I loved Bords and Beams Stamp set. I used it to make many beautiful Christmas cards.
Floral frenzy is just so clean and simple, but very versatile.
floral frenzy is my favorite stamp set.
I wasn’t stamping back in 2008 but I’m sure Out On A Limb would have been the first one in my basket! I just placed it on my wish list! Love Boards an Beams too!
