A golf and museum trip to the DC area!

That’s a tough one. We took a family vacation through Texas and made no plans or reservations and just traveled through Texas stopping when we wanted and finding hotels to stay in along the way. It was so much fun and very carefree. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My family and my 3 brothers and their family (20 of us) took a cruise to Puerto Vallerta. I would say this was probably the most fun I ever had.

A family road trip to San Antonio, TX with stops along the way and stay at a timeshare. We still talk about that great trip!

Nova Scotia and New England. We saw the most beautiful sight and were on a bus tour with a fabulous group of people!

Hawaii, decided to rent a road bicycle. Fell in love with cycling. Now everytime I ride my bike, I am taken back to that vacation in the tropical oasis…even if my ride is cold and rainy!

We’re not always able to take a vacation, but I we did go visit friends in California a couple years ago. We had THE best time – good food and wine, great company with lots of laughs and even to a side trip to Disneyland!

My honeymoon! Need I say more?

What a great question! I would have to say a long road trip through New England we took several years ago. We brought our bikes along so we could ride along the beaches. We also took the ferry to Block Island, RI and rode our bikes all around the island. We stopped for a picnic at the lighthouse, then had cocktails at a beachside bar before we took the ferry back to the mainland. The whole trip was an adventure like this! We even stopped at Niagara Falls on the way home 🙂

My most memorable vacation was a trip to Thailand. I went with Compassion International with a group of people from all over the United States. I was in my early 20s and didn’t know anyone else who was going. I got to meet the child I had been sponsoring for the couple of years before the trip. It was incredible. We went to several Compassion sponsored schools and saw the amazing difference they were making. We also did some sight seeing as well. It was the trip of a lifetime, as far as I’m concerned.

I have been to a lot of amazing places as travelling is my favorite thing to do, but I would have to say my visit to New Zealand was a real highlight. We stayed long enough to get a feel for the varied countryside and tried some new adventures as well.

A crazy snow-filled-in-April “field” trip to study Revolutionary War era history in Philadelphia and the Boston areas. 🙂

When I was 7 my family went to central California. We started our trip in Reno and Lake Tahoe. We rode in our family ford van. This was 1977 so it was a big van. We stayed in motels and I loved swimming in the pool. It was my first time seeing the ocean. Altogether it was a fun family trip.

Cape Vincent, NY when I was 8 or 9. My family rented a cottage and we spent the week on the water boating and fishing and feeding the chipmunks. I still remember such a sense of peace and tranquility.

One of my most memorable trips was a couple of years ago when we went to the beach with my sons. They are grown now and it is difficult to get everyone together. We spent a week together and I was one happy mama!
