I have limited success with watercoloring but continue to practice!

Yes, I’ve loved water coloring since my college days, which was a long time ago! I hadn’t painted in quite some time until the trend started up in papercrafting and cardmaking. I LOVE it! It’s even more fun to watercolor with all the new tools and mediums available today!
ljhart says

I love the look of watercolours and often include it on my cards, either by smooshing or using mi Zig markers.
Julie C says
I love the idea of watercoloring but have only tried it a few times. My biggest fear is not doing “messy” right. I try to hard to make my regular projects just right, that letting go of staying inside the lines is intimidating!
Kathy D says

sallie says
I love watercoloring on cards!!….usually on 140# watercolor paper and using traditional tube watercolors. I do at least one card a week with watercolors…find it fast and easy.
Amanda says
Watercoloring is fun. It’s not my go-to method, but when it’s right I pull the stuff out. I use it from time to time. I just never have enough time for all I want to do.
Angie V says
Yes I love watercoloring.I think my favorite technique would have to be embossing, then watercoloring over the top of it and then wiping the embossing off. Most of my ideas come from the wonderful examples of the papertreyink team!
Birgit says
I love the look of water coloring but I’m not very good at it. I keep trying my hand at it once in a while, hoping to see some improvement.
Suzy Girl says
I’m so into watercoloring at the moment and I keep experimenting and trying more and more techniques.
Amy T says
I like using water color pencils to add a little color to some stamp images. I have never been successful using watercolor was a background- it looks too messy and I haven’t found the right paper that I like that won’t warp.
Pat H says
I don’t watercolor or use my Copics much. I would SO appreciate a DT tutorial on how to improve my skills. Thanks!
Cindy Thompson says
I love the watercolor look but have not done much with it on cards. The reason I have not done with it much on cards because I could never get it to work even with using watercolor paper. A tutorial would be helpful.
tammy butz says
I started watercoloring last month and am absolutely loving it. I find that I get “lost” in it and it is very relaxing and fun.
Ann Merry says
I love watercoloring! I have taken several watercolor classes taught by Junelle Jacobsen. The way I incorporate watercoloring into cardmaking is to sketch and paint a card front; photo it and enhance in Photoshop, then make prints to adhere to card bases. It certainly speeds up cardmaking, and allows me to create in bulk; I usually package up a set of notecards to give as a gift.
Liz mcallister says
I love all the techniques you can do with water colors. I use them with at least 1/3 of my cards. I was hesitant at first. But after trying realize it is easy and fun

JoAnn H says

Linda Wickett says
I love the look. I don’t do it because I don’t know where to start or what to buy.
Lindsey L says
Yes, I love water coloring….or maybe better said, I love when others watercolor. I’ve used it on a few cards, but I’m not very confident in my abilities. It rarely seems to turn out quite right, so those unfinished cards often end up in the waste basket. It is something I would love to work on, though. Ironically, I come from a family of three generations of women who watercolor!
Lady Gray says
I do enjoy watercoloring but I don’t do it often as I forget about the technique until I see someone else’s work that inspires me. I have downloaded the technique cards on Papertrey for future inspiration.
Karen says
Oh, my, YES to loving watercoloring! I jumped on the bandwagon and got the Gamsai watercolor set, and with Danielle’s recommendation, just picked up some watercolor pencils to try. As a fun homeschooling art class, my daughters and I also signed up for an online watercolor class. I love this release. The entire butterfly line, and of course the Home & Garden Petite Places just makes my heart happy.

I like the look of watercoloring, but I am too impatient – I never let the colors dry before doing the next color & I end up with a muddied mess 🙁
Keysha Sain says
I absolutely LOVE the water-coloring technique! The design teams projects that have water-coloring are always so gorgeous!! I have only used it twice on my cards and I was not happy with the results. I know that I need to do it more so that I can be better at it….

TFS all the beautiful inspiration ladies!!

Yes I have tried the watercolour techniques on my cards but I have to confess that I am a bit more structured when I make cards so I prefer more control. When I watercolour it tends to be specific images. Fantastic release day! Thanks so much for a chance to win such a great prize. Cheers.
maryrose says
I love watercoloring! My Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors make me feel like an artist!
Tammy says
I started watercoloring in HS but haven’t really done much since art school. I am trying to use it with stamps now but haven’t found much time lately.
Deb Else says
Yes, I have tried watercolor on my cards, and love the look. But I think it is the perfectionist in me that keeps me from using it more often. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to push myself outside of my box with new techniques and crafts.
Jayell says
I love watercolour but I don’t use it often on cards because I’m not sure the recipients will like it as much as I do!

LOVE watercoloring & have used it on cards but need to do more of it!
Valerie C says
I think the watercoloring technique looks amazing. I have been researching watercolor pencils and want to try my hand at this. The design team has shown some amazing examples! That is on my list for 2016 things to try!
Kelly Flaherty says
I do enjoy watercoloring but am still trying to perfect my backgrounds. My goal is to create backgrounds like Kay Miller.
DGolly says
I love the look of watercolors and use the technique occasionally. It’s a hard medium for me because I tend to be a perfectionist and keep reworking until I like it, watercolors don’t work that way, but they are teaching me to just run with it and make it work.
Vikki H says
I enjoy the look but mostly confine my attempts with smooshing backgrounds or a paper piece to die cut.
Jan G says
I love watercolor! I find it very relaxing medium. I love making cards using watercolor because it gives the card such a soft effect!
Susan T says
I love watercoloring. Use it occasionally. Like to mix it up. I go through phases. Picked up Zig markers for Christmas but haven’t had the chance to try them out. PS love the binder pages!

I love the water coloring technique, but must admit I don’t use it that often! I will definitely try it this weekend…you guys have inspired me with your fabulous samples this week!
Shelly says
I enjoy the look of watercolored cards but have yet to try the technique myself. I guess I was just hoping to get some zig clean color brush markers before I tried this technique. That’s really no excuse though because I have watercolor pencils and distress inks which are both suitable for watercoloring. I guess I just need a push!
Dolores S says
I love watercoloring and use it on cards often. It adds such a beautiful artsy touch. It is a bit unpredictable but so rewarding when you get that result you were hoping to achieve.

Oh, I DO enjoy watercoloring and do include it to some extent on ANYthing I make now…even if it’s just a small portion of a background! I’ve been watching for images that can be colored now when I shop! (which, unfortunately can’t be very often!LOL) Beautiful release, once again!
Corinna says
I love water coloring on my cards! I use it probably on 50% of my cards and crafts right now. They seem to be the ones that people love to receive the most too.

I love the look of watercolor when I see it on cards. I prefer to use markers or colored pencils for my cards. I’ve tried watercoloring on a few cards with watercolor pencils and reinkers, but use it very rarely.
Sally Gainer says
WHO DOESNT LOVE THE SOFT EFFECTS OF WATERCOLOR?
TiS MY FAVORITE MEDIUM TO PUT ON CARDS
Donna Gourley says
I enjoy watercoloring but don’t use it as often as probably should. The way my craft room is set up, it’s more of a “process” to get everything out in order to do it so I tend to watercolor in batches. I’m sometimes frustrated by the results as well (if they don’t end up looking like samples I see). I know more practice is probably key to better results. I do love the samples I see others create.
Tracie C. says
I love the water color techniques. I find that I am using it 75% of the time. Love the look.

I need more practice and time and the cost of paper have been prohibitive.
Tricia T. says
I love to watercolor my images using Distress Markers! I find it easier than coloring with copics, so I watercolor often!
Debra Frosos says
I have not tried watercoloring yet. I guess I should try it, I am just a little intimidated to begin. I see how lovely the cards are that are watercolored. I have all the things I need just have to take the plunge! So many people with so much talent! Thanks for the inspiration!
Betty says
I love watercoloring on cards!! It makes me happy! I use all the different mediums. Wonderful release!!
Christy bray says
I only started watercolor ing when I started stamping, which was this past fall. I LOVE it! It has led me to playing with inks and Brusho on Yupo paper too. I might even like those better than water colors. If u haven’t played with those u totally have too!!! But all of these effects make terrific backgrounds for my cards
Tami B says
I love the look of watercolor, but I can’t seem to get the look I’m going for when I try it. (I do keep trying though.)
Denise C. says
I haven’t done much watercoloring but after receiving some Zig watercolor markers for Christmas, I’m hoping to improve my skills!
Melissa says
I love the watercolor look. Sometimes my efforts come out a bit muddy but I am learning as I go! I am having a ton of fun practicing!
Terri (Blindstamper) says
I like watercoloring. It’s just such a different, “loose” look compared to copics that it’s hard to get used to, or even know if I’m doing it right. Backgrounds are pretty safe. 🙂
Jamie Greene says
Watercolor is really pretty and I do like it but don’t do it all that often. I really should try it more!
Pamela Levingston says
Love Watercolor. I use it a lot!
Mary W says
I love water coloring and use it frequently on cards – actually, more than any other background. I’m learning lots of ways to use die cuts and stamps with it.
carol says
I’ve tried watercolouring and the magic doesn’t happen for me; obviously, I’m not doing something right. Grrrr…I LOVE x LOVE what others accomplish, so that’s what keeps me trying. Perhaps one of these days, I’ll figure it out…
~carol
Shawn Wenrich says
I have water colored on my cards but not very often. I’m definitely excited about watercoloring with the new zig markers that I received as a Christmas gift from my daughter and husband. I adore this release and the designers have outdone themselves as usual with the amazing inspiration!

I love watercoloring and I include it often on my cards.
Victoria h says

Vicki Finger says
I love watercoloring my cards. I buy the larger pads of it on Amazon or with a coupon at Hobby Lobby and then cut it down to make my own panels.
kReN kurts says
Watercolor techniques are one of my FOCUS goals for this year. I love the look and feel so darn artsy when I use them. I especially love the grid looking card. Fab!
Kristie G. says
I do enjoy water coloring on my cards. I don’t do it often but love the look when I do. I especially love my Zig markers for water coloring. Makes it so easy to do. 🙂
Jeni says
I love the look of watercoloring. I would love to try it on my cards but I don’t have the supplies & I guess I just don’t know where to start. Normally when I see cool things, I want to try them, I buy the supplies & then they just sit on my desk.
Katie Skiff says
I DO like watercoloring (in my best Tammy voice). I do not include it often enough and I should because it’s fun. It’s kind of a peaceful way to add color!!
Gilda (McStamper) says
I love the look of watercolors. I have not used it on cards as I am not very good but it is something that I really want to learn and use. What stops me? Procrastination!
Mel H says
I took watercolor classes in college but I haven’t tried it on cards yet. I have a good excuse because I haven’t found the box that they are packed in since our move. I want to find them to try some of these techniques on the blogs now.
Crisanne D. says
I have attempted watercolor once, but the brush from my kids crayola watercolors was… less than fabulous! I need to pick up a small pad of watercolor paper, my own brush, and the determination to play with the whole pad until it feels comfortable!
christi in ma says
I like playing with distress inks for backgrounds.
I do that on about 40% of my cards. I don’t really watercolor because I’m not good at coloring in general and the imprecise nature of watercolor is at odds with my perfectionism. 😉
Sharon W. says
I love watercoloring on my cards and do it often!
Teresa F. says
The little I’ve done I’ve enjoyed but would love to learn to do a better job with it! Great month of releases!
Jelenzini says
I have not used water colors yet. After seeing this months reveal I think I finally will.
Tammy W says
I love watercoloring! It’s fun to see how it turns out, always a surprise to see how the colors will flow or blend.
theCook says
Such beautiful cards! I don’t watercolor, it looks beautiful but seems difficult to get right… my promarkers seem easier to use!
Jackie says
I enjoy seeing what others have done with watercoloring, but struggle with it myself. I think it’s probably an issue of trying to control it and stay inside the lines, when that isn’t the purpose of watercolor 🙂 I haven’t given up, though. I still practice and hope to get better with it.
Brabara Campbell says
I love water coloring and use it often. I love how the design is always different and so soft. I just got the new Zig Clean Color brushes and I think I am in Love.
Sabine M. says
I love the watercolor look! So pretty 🙂
I don’t use this technique very often though, mostly for backgrounds.
Marcie Rhys says
I love the look of watercolors! One of my favorite techniques is its use with embossing powders. Because I do little embossing (relatively more laborious set up for it), maybe I need to emboss several designs at a time, and watercolor them as I need them. My favorite combo – white embossing powder + white card stock + brushed on Papertrey refill colors applied with a water brush.
Thanks for helping me think about a different way of approaching using them.
marcy says
I have tried it but am not real successful at it. It is a contemporary look and I struggle with that genre.
Shirley K says
I do enjoy watercoloring on cards, usually for backgrounds. Only occasionally, though there was a point last year where I went through a watercolor phase and did many.
Nancy Ward says
I am just recently trying watercolor, but it is a bit out of my comfort zone. I just need a bit more practice!
Dawn@Petals.Paper.SimpleThymes says
I just love the look of watercolors on cards! I have watercolored the background on many cards. I have been experimenting with inexpensive watercolor paints, nice watercolor pencils, and Distress inks. At the moment, I’m saving for the Gansai Tambi set. I love the look of these highly-pigmented colors! ♡
Debbie says
I enjoy watercolouring. I use it often in cards. I love to take the extra time.
Irene S says
I love the look of the watercolors but I never tried it. I need to see tutorials on the technique to feel more confident to try it.
Norma says
Watercoloring is so much fun, but I’m still experimenting. Trouble with paper warping, even watercolor paper. Maybe I’m using too much H20! Anyway, I keep trying. Love all the examples the DT members make. You ladies are the best!!!
Meg says
I love the look of watercoloring on cards, but I can’t seem to get the technique down. I use too much water trying to soften the colors and the paper gets misshapen and warped. Would love more tutorials.
Sandi D says
Water coloring is very relaxing and fun because it isn’t precise…and always looks beautiful. Love using it on cards.
Sherrie M. says
I do like watercoloring. I probably only do it in about 10-15% of my cards because I often forget about it and it takes more work. But I always love the results when I do watercolor especially when I heat emboss and image and water color over it.
Dee says
Enjoy might be a bit strong but I do like to try it occasionally. I am just learning this technique – my OCD struggles with freeform but I LOVE the look when I’m done. My favorite technique is embossing outline stamps and coloring them in. Lately I tried just making watercolor background paper and using it for die cuts such as butterflies – really nice effect!
Britta says
I just started watercoloring. It is so much fun! I Love having another option besides Copics.
Currently about a third of my cards are made with watercoloring.
Debi W says
I love watercoloring. I have use iron my cards about 50% of the time. Some of them have watercolor backgrounds, and some I use watercolors to paint the colors in. I love the shades and depth you can create. I have been experimenting with painting the water colors on my stamp, and then stamping onto paper.
Kari D says
I LOVE ‘smooshing’ and find I am using in more and more as a background (both bold and soft). I love the look of watercolor and tried the MIM of stamping in a light color ink and then watercoloring over it to make it appear as though I had actually painted the image freehand. Alas, I have learned, I am not that artistic! Sigh!
YuliaM says
I really love watercoloring. And I use it in almost every projects. Sometimes I use watercolor paints, sometimes sprays and a brush, sometimes distress inks. I like that every time I get a different result, sometimes even unexpected one. Now I want to learn how to create pictures with watercolor paints and I’m sure I’ll do it as soon as I have more free time.
Judy says
I do love the look of watercolor but I’m still not very good at it:(. I definitely need to practice it more.
Judy Woodland says
Water coloring is my all-time favorite medium. The technique I enjoy doing the most is smooshing for backgrounds. I love the artsy effect, and you can never achieve the same look twice. I also love to color with water color and use it very often!!
LindaCC says
I like water coloring but I’m not very good at it so I don’t often do it. It’s a blending problem for me. Some colors just turn muddy and then I have to start over!
Linda K. says
I haven’t tried watercoloring, but after seeing the beautiful cards made with the technique I’m really interested in trying it.
Lauren Y. says
I love any medium that adds color to a project, but I don’t water color much. I think I just forget about it as being an option. It is a technique I will have to try to incorporate more this year!
Suzanne A. says
I love watercoloring and use it as often as I can but definitely need more watercolor paper!
Carolyn says
Watercoloring is probably my favorite color application, whether it’s using watercolor pencils, markers, or paint I love the feel it gives a card or other art project. I use this application as often as I want , asking myself what is stopping me- nothing!
Barb L. says
Yes, I love watercoloring and use it quite often on cards. I like the fact that it doesn’t have to be perfect in order to be beautiful.
shelly k says
I haven’t watercolored for a long time!! My father in law is a professional artist with watercolor as his medium…I think I’m afraid of my skill level to even start! I love how it looks!…That should be a goal this year – to break out the paints!
Cyndee says
I enjoy the process of water coloring; choosing the colors and waiting for it to dry to see the end result. I do water coloring on occasion, when I feel artsy that day.
TX JennyWren says
I love the look of water coloring on cards. though still a beginner at it, I love doing it and seeing the final results. I want to use it more so I can feel more confident using this technique.
Linda says
Yes, I really enjoy watercoloring. I’ve only watercolored a few cards because I just recently started making cards. I hope to watercolor a lot more in the future. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a gift certificate!
Brittany says

I think I am going to start with the printed watercolor papers!!!!

I love the look of watercoloring and have done it in a couple of workshops but it scares me at home – I don’t feel I’m good enough of an artist to use it. I DO Love the look of water coloring… and tend to use blender pens more than actual water. I don’t like my card wet and sometimes the water just wrecks it… IF I get it too wet. So I like the ‘watercolor’ type stamps…. that make the outline appear to be painted. hugs.
Noreen says

Love the release!
Dana says
I LOVE the effect of watercoloring! I’ve dabbled a time or two but I haven’t gotten comfortable with it. I’ve got to set aside time to binge watch tutorials and then try them out until I develop my own style. 🙂
Dosimetristsam says

I love the look of watercolors, but didn’t like my results with tube colors trying to paint a picture when I took classes years ago. I only use watercolor on 25% of my papercrafting projects, but I love the looks I get and enjoy the process, too!
Peege04 says
I’ve dabbled very little with watercoloring. I’ve only used the technique to make my own paper for backgrounds or to die cut. I’d love to try some of the looks that make it seem you’ve hand painted the image, but just haven’t gotten to that yet. Maybe I will now!

Michele W says
I love the look of watercoloring but am just learning how to do it. I’m experimenting to learn how much water to put down first and when or when to just go direct to paper. I’m hoping to make this year’s St. Patrick’s Day cards with a watercolor background but it depends on how my practice goes.
Michele F says
I LOve water-coloring heat-embossed images – whether I stay within the lines, or not! I’m trying out a new WC paper this week – practice makes nearly perfect! Do you have a favorite to use? LOvely release this month!!!

Over the past year I’ve bought all the supplies to watercolor, and probably way more supplies than actually needed. I want to practice more before actually using it on a project, because of course it needs to look artistic instead of just a hot mess! Thanks for the chance to win a gift certificate – it would be used up in an instant!

I love the look of watercolor but have only used it a couple of times on my cards. I think I will be using it more this year!

I LOVE water coloring and have been using it on card fronts, layouts, 3D projects and more. I’m loving that I can do a whole background and then die cut elements from it. It’s put my patterned paper out of business these days though:)
Michelle says
I love watercoloring but rarely use it on cards – probably because it seems like a lot more effort to get the stuff out to do it, which isn’t true – it’s just a mind block I have, I guess!
Colleen says
I love the look of watercoloring, but I have never tried it myself. But I really love the Bold Blossoms so it will be something I will be trying very soon!!
Kathryn A says
I love watercolouring! I would use it even more if I were a little better at it, but I’m willing to practice 😉
Peggy S says
Love the look of water coloring but I rarely do it. I’m afraid I’ll turn it into brown mud.

I have discovered that watercoloring is my absolute favorite medium for cardmaking and art! I almost always include it somehow whether it’s on a background or a focal image. I’ve had one-on-one instruction from an artist and I have and am taking different online classes to discover more about the technique and the different types of watercolor mediums available! Everyone should try it! It’s very forgiving and you can get great results with little effort!
JanetB says
I have tried watercoloring, and I am always inspired by other projects I see on line, but I don’t feel I do it very well. It looks so easy when other people do it, but not for me. I will keep trying 🙂 Julie C said something that I understand about watercolors, having a fear of not doing messy right, and letting go of staying in the lines. Yes, practice, practice.
Barb W says
I haven’t done a lot of watercoloring, but with my new Zip Real Brushes, I’m ready to start. Seeing Dawn’s watercolor pre-printed Blossoms and the Butterfly cards this release makes it exciting to try. I hope that the DT will come up with more of the pre-printed fronts for watercoloring.

As crafting as I am, watercolors just don’t do it for me. Can’t explain it. Just really don’t care for the whole process, unfortunately.

I love the look, but I have not tried it. I`m afraid of it being too messy. I guess I need to get over my fear and channel my inner 5 year old and just try it!
Lin Brandyberry says
I love the look of watercoloring, but I’m not comfortable with it yet. Thank goodness the trend continues, so I keep trying!
Vicki says
I like the look of watercoloring, but I don’t actually enjoy doing it very much. I don’t like the way the paper warps – I can never get it flat again. I don’t like the way watercolor has a texture that won’t allow me to get crisp lines if I stamp over top of it. I really do enjoy looking at what other people do with it, though, and wish mine looked as good, but I don’t enjoy it enough to practice.
Julia Aston says
I love the look of water coloring on cards – and although I have lots of supplies to use for water coloring – I’ve only actually used it a handful of times! never enough hours in the day!

I’ve never tried watercolor paints on cards, but I use watercolor pencils all the time. I think the reason I don’t use watercolor paints on cards is that I’m afraid I’ll use too much water and the paper will crinkle. I’ll have to practice!

Sharon D says
I haven’t tried watercoloring–I guess it seems too messy to me–but I love the look of watercolored flowers.

I do watercolor pieces but not on cards yet, I’ve designed a jewelery box and the top is like a shaker card so the image inside I stamp with embossing powder and do water coloring for a sweet soft and whimsical look, then I add my sequins and place a thick acetate on top to seal it, I use a lot your Petite places dies and stamps to create the scenes so I’m beyond happy yo see the new Cottagge Petite places adition, I can create a bigger town with them… Keep them coming I’m a HUGE fan…
Kathie B says
I do enjoy water coloring but I don’t do it often enough. Sometimes I’m in too much of a hurry to take out the supplies and do all the prep for water coloring. I need to give myself a day to take the supplies out and then just play all day…and into the night!
Diana F says
I’m pretty sure I would enjoy it, but haven’t given it a try yet. Not sure why. Looks like a lot of fun but I think a project can look real messy real fast if you don’t do it right. That is one of my things I want to do this year. So hopefully I will be giving it a try real soon.
lisa m says
I have only tried water coloring a few times, I would like to try it more this year after seeing the beautiful projects everyone is creating with water coloring!

P.S. I would LOVE for a Monday technique video to include how Kay does her fabulous watercolor techniques though. I’ve been dying for that a couple years now… 😉

Kathy Mc says
Yes, I have “dipped” into watercoloring and smooshing on my cards some but need more practice. Everyone else’s seems to look better to me than my own. Guess it’s because I never really felt artistic, and this puts me a bit out of my comfort zone. Practice, practice, practice!

I think watercoloring is pretty on others’ cards but it’s difficult for me to do it myself. The ‘messy’ results are harder for me as my brain tends to the precise methods. I keep thinking this is another trend that will fade, but it seems to be standing strong. I would love to have some Zig Markers to try it out with as it seems easy and i love the shading with only a few markers.
Eliza says
I use watercolors as a background and I often paint outline stamps with it.
It so versatile because I can mix the colors I need out of a few basic colors.

I love the look of watercolor, but mostly I “cheat” by inking a stamp & spritzing it before stamping. However, I did buy some Zig Real Brush markers awhile ago (got them cheap on Amazon!) & finally had success with them on a card that will post tomorrow on my blog. Heather’s use of them is one of the reasons I got them & now I’m so glad I did!

I love the look of watercoloring! Especially on flowers and leaves and behind words. I like an open flower die or butterfly over a watercolor background. There are so many new products to try for the technique but I think I tend to stick to my basic stash.

I enjoy watercoloring but haven’t done as much as I would like. There are SO many different types of watercoloring and I just can’t wait to try some new ones out. I love how watercolor is like snowflakes…each piece is unique even if it is the same design, etc. I have a Pinterest board dedicated to watercolor cards (which includes a LOT of PTI examples). What better inspiration is there than that? 🙂

I recently watched a Jill Foster video where she masked off a “snowy” ground, watercolored the sky, and then stamped silhouette images on top. I tried it immediately and loved he result.

I love watercoloring and also probably use it about 20% of the time. So many of the designers are inspiring us with their fabulous watercolor examples! Heather Mills says
I LOVE the look of watercoloring on all the cards I see, and I have attempted it a couple of times. I think the thing that is keeping me from doing it more, is that I really don’t know how. I’ll have to check out some more tutorials and get too it, since I did buy some water color paper a month or so ago.

I love the idea of water coloring and the effects of it, but I’m not very good at the process. Perhaps I just haven’t found the right paper to use, because mine always turns out “warpy”. I will keep trying because the effect is beautiful.

I love watercoloring because I think it is so forgiving. However, I have not been able to create a lot of the great backgrounds, images of your DT, so I have been shying away from it as of late. It’s a great medium and people love the cards they receive from me when I use the technique.

Mutzy Mia says
I have done very little watercoloring but I do like the look of it….actually it’s been years since I’ve done it. So, obviously I don’t use it on cards. I think one of the reasons I don’t is that I’m usually making a card because I need it NOW and I’m short on time. So to let the card dry plus get out the extra supplies to use adds time to my already tight schedule. I seem to never have the luxury of just “playing” with my supplies…maybe some day.
Beth M. says
Love the watercolor look-Easy way to create a simple but modern look to a card. Just made a valentine card using watercolors.

I love watercolor art! I’m just getting back into card making, now that I have a little time. It has changed from back in the day. I have a few cards embossed and ready to go. I have been busy trying the new background stamp I just bought from PTI. I just found your Co. On Pintrest last September. I still have a wish list going, and will be making another purchase ASAP. PTI is my first choice in stamps. I have at least 17 people flowing my board on Pintrest (Dee Bruno), love sharing!

Cindy O says
I enjoy some watercoloring, especially as backgrounds for my ink drawings. I’m more likely to use Copic markers for my cards, though I’ve tried a bit of watercolor stenciling. The loose and splotchy look is lovely, and I enjoy seeing it on the design team cards, but it’s not my style for what I create.
Julia says
I haven’t tried it yet, but it is on my to do list. I guess I just need more crafty time.

I love to play with watercolors, especially over clear embossing. I really want to make an art journal using your planner binder and the new page dies.

Love that it’s still so trendy. I go through phases, but probably use it on one out of four cards.

I think I have found my ‘thing’ with the water colouring trend! I love the way it is so quick to create a background with, and I love to emboss then watercolour over it.

I love watercoloring but I’m pretty new to it. I have the Koi watercolor set and also use Distress Inks & Faber Castell/Inktense watercolor pencils pretty regularly, probably 70% of the time.
