I tried this using a water brush and dye ink…worked pretty well on parts of the die, but tore the water color paper when taking off the removable label mask. Any suggestions on water color paper to use or how to tell if you’ve used too much water?

hi jeanne – maybe hold back on the water a little and wait until it’s really dry to take the stencil off. i used both cansen and tim holtz watercolor paper. on one sample, it looked like the watercolor paper tore at first (i didn’t wait until it dried!), but once it dried i realized it was the label that had torn leaving the ahesive layer behind, and it rubbed right off. i hope that helps!
