Melissa Phillips is always hanging and pinning little tags to her projects, which inspired her to submit the idea of a set of tag shapes and stamps that would allow a multitude of options.  This is the second set in a series and coordinates with the original Tiny Tags die, which cuts a multitude of shaped tags all with one pass.  This amazing stamp set will customize the tags to in a variety of different ways, especially when paired with elements from the original set!  The stamp set includes a striped tag for each shape with a framed opening for adding an image or sentiment.  The options and possibilities are endless!

The details.

  • Tiny Tags II will be available for sale on November 15th.
  • It will retail for $15.
  • Tiny Tags II contains a total of 57 stamps (7 striped tags, 1 accent bow and 49 sentiments)
  • The tag images in this set coordinate with the original Tiny Tags die.
  • The circular striped tag measures 7/8" wide and 1" tall.  The star shaped striped tag measures 7/8"in diameter.  Both the standard tag shapes that are striped as well measure 3/4" tall and 1 1/4" long.  The all-capst "Adorable" sentiment measures 5/8" wide and 1/8" tall.  The "happy new year" sentiment measures 5/8" wide and 1/4" tall.

Maile Belles has designed a fresh new background building set that will definitely give Polka Dot Basics a run for it's money!  Background Basics: Circles features a variety of patterned strips that contain circles and solid dots in different configurations.  Because of the "strip" design of the patterns, you can piece together different images or use a variety of colors.  I promise you will never run out of ways to use this set!

The details.

  • Background Basics: Circles will be available for sale on November 15th.
  • It will retail for $24.
  • Background Basics: Circles contains a total of 12 stamps (6 patterned strips, 6 individual circle pattern accents & dots)
  • PLEASE NOTE:  The length of the patterned strips in this set was increased to allow for an extra wide base for easy placement and lining up per customer request.  However, because of this change, Not all of the strips will fit in a CD case for storage.  An index label and CD case will still be included with the set, but we do suggest finding an alternate storage method for this specific set.

Medallion-Comparison

By customer request, we have also brought you a mega sized version of the popular Mehndi Medallion stamp set.  The large medallion measures 3-1/4" in diameter, giving you lots of new design opportunities and layering options with the previously released smaller version.

Block-Alphabet-dies
Customers have been requesting a collection of alphabet dies for some time now and I delayed a bit on it's release, putting a lot of thought into the scale, the type of font and other details that I would want from an alphabet set.  First, I wanted the size to be perfectly scaled for card-making.  Something that would allow you to be able to put 8 or even 10 letters across the front of an A2 card with room to spare.  But not too small, as to prove difficult to adhere.  I wanted a font that was a tad unique, but yet classic and timeless.  I wanted the dies to be laid out in such a way, that once could choose to keep them together as a single die, or cut them apart if they prefer.  And most importantly, I wanted a way to keep the price tag reasonable and affordable so everyone could add it to their collections.  I present the Block Alphabet Die Collection.

Block alphabet die
Die closeup

This set of 30 dies contains the letters a-z as well as a few forms of punctuation.  The letters average about 1/2" to 3/4" in size & scale.  The dies are wired together with thin pieces of steel, allowing you to keep them together if you do not wish to have the burden of 30 individual dies, or they can be easily snipped apart and stored on the complimentary magnetic sheet that is included with this collection.  And sit down for the price tag… a mere $16.

The details.

  • The Block Alphabet Die Collection will be available for sale on November 15th.
  • It will retail for $16.
  • The Block Alphabet Die Collection contains a total of 30 dies, with each letter averaging between 1/2" and 3/4" in size.
  • The purchase of this die collection includes a magnetic sheet as a storage option, should you choose to cut the dies apart.

Now that I have covered all the details, let's get onto the projects!

Out of This World Card
My first project today uses the new striped Tiny Tags II to create a fun background, perfect for a card for a little boy.  But you could definitely change up the colors for nearly any recipient.

Pattern closeup
I started with Fine Linen cardstock and stamped the various striped tags using Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, Ripe Avocado and Orange Zest inks.  I then added sentiments to all the centers with Dark Chocolate ink.  I stamped one of the patterns from Background Basics: Circles on top of all of this using VersaMark ink.

Sentiment
I cut out the shape for the airplane using the Fly Away die and then stamped the coordinating image in Black Noir ink.  I colored the plane in with Pure Poppy, Orange Zest & Ripe Avocado Copic Trios.  A bit of Pure Poppy Baker's Twine was added behind the plane as a trail.  I die-cut a piece of Ripe Avocado cardstock with the frame from Sending You die collection and added the sentiment from Boy Basics: Out of This World.  The numbered border strip was also created with this set using Summer Sunrise cardstock and Orange Zest ink.

Down
Background Basics: Woodgrain was added to the Dark Chocolate card base using VersaMark ink.

Smile Card
This next card is bright, bold and was totally fun to create!

Building background
I was able to create my own multi-colored background by taking advantage of one of the strips of dots from Background Basics: Circles.  I started at the top and worked my way down, using different colors for every impression.  Because of the extra wide base created under the images it is easy to see where you are stamping and lining everything up is a breeze.

Sentiment closeup
I used the Block Alphabet dies with Raspberry Fizz cardstock to create the "smile" sentiment.  I cut thin pieces of foam tape to go under the letters and raise them from the surface.  I added "It's Your Day" from Fillable Frames Additions II with True Black ink.

Down
The entire piece was adhered onto an Aqua Mist card base.

Wonderful Self Card
Next I thought I would show you what beautiful & easy results you can achieve when layering the two different sizes of medallions.

First layer
I started with Autumn Rose cardstock and stamped the large medallion from Mega Mehndi Medallion in Scarlet Jewel.

Second layer
I then added the large medallion from the original Mehndi Medallion on top of each of those images using Vintage Cream ink.  A small piece from Mega Mehndi Medallion was added in Vintage Cream as well in between the large medallions.  Isn't it just a stunning pattern?  And to think it only takes a few quick impressions.

Sentiment closeup
The sentiment is from Healing Touch Sentiments, stamped in Vintage Cream onto a strip of Scarlet Jewel cardstock.

Down
I tied 1/4" silk ribbon around the card front and finished it with a small Autumn Rose button.

Thanks Too Kind Card
This thanks card uses one of my favorite color schemes.

Stamped strips
I started by experimenting and creating a few different patterned strips.  I stamped the striped flower tag from Tiny Tags II with Smokey Shadow ink onto Soft Stone cardstock.  I stamped one of the strips from Background Basics: Circles onto Aqua Mist cardstock using VersaMark ink, followed by embossing using White Filigree Embossing Party.  The third pattern is one of the medium medallions from Mega Mehndi Medallion stamped repeatedly with Summer Sunrise ink on Harvest Gold cardstock.

Sentiment closeup
I nearly swooned when I first used the new Block Alphabet dies with this Ocean Tides felt.  They are easy to adhere in place with 1/8" Scor-tape.  I added the "You are Too Kind" sentiment from Fillable Frames #6 using Smokey Shadow ink.

Thank You Tags Card
Here I have a project that showcases the Tiny Tags II when used in conjunction with the die.

Tags closeup
The large scalloped frame is from Fillable Frames Additions 2, stamped in Summer Sunrise.  The various tags were stamped with their coordinating images from the set using Aqua Mist, Spring Moss & Berry Sorbet inks.  The bracket was die cut from Berry Sorbet cardstock using the new Block Alphabet.

Background
This pattern was stamped with Background Basics: Circles using Fresh Snow ink.

Border

I used the bottom portion of the square striped tag to create this fun border.

Down
All of this was finished with a Summer Sunrise cards base.

Medallion Thank You Card
I used Mega Mehndi Medallion again for this project.

Thank you closeup
I stamped the medallion from Mega Mehndi Medallion onoto Hawaiian Shored cardstock using Enchanted Evening ink.  The sentiment was added with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver FIligree Embossing Powder.

Medallion closeup
I used a Copic Marker to shade in different portions of the medallion with a medium blue color.  I also used a paint pen to add silver dots where appropriate to help accent the medallion.
