Jennifer McGuire has a new online class that will begin September 12th that focuses on inspiration and showing you innovative techniques along with re-inventing some of the basics you might have learned long ago.  This class was previously only taught in stores and it is certainly a special treat to have it now brought directly to your craft room through Online Card Classes.  Join Jennifer in creating a canvas featuring techniques and fabulous pieces that be sure to kick-start your creativity the next time you need it.

In this class, you will follow the creation of a 12×12 canvas utilizing over

including tried-and-true favorites as well as new tips and techniques.  This technique-heavy class will explore the many forms of resist, creative uses of distress inks, die cut and embossing techniques along with other fabulous finishing touches and using your stamps with more than just the usual suspects of ink & paper.

Through daily videos, you will learn creative ways to make your supplies go farther, such as creating your own embellishments and making the most of your inks, stamps and papers.  There will also be 15+ additional card ideas using techniques shown.

This class runs from September 12 – 23 and costs only $19 (I've paid more than that for just a little idea book!).

 It will include:

  • 12+ videos and pdfs  (Yes, TWELVE!!!!!)
  • Over 40 techniques & tips
  • 15+ additional card ideas
  • 6 special guests, including Jill Foster, Kristina Werner, Nichol Magouirk, Shari Carroll, Tim Holtz and yours truly.

What a brilliant idea here. I find most of my inspiration from visiting blogs and my past experience of teaching stamping classes at unfortunately 2 wonderful stamping stores that are now closed. Oh how I miss seeing things up close and touching all of those goodies before I purchased them. But to be fair, online things have made it so easy to learn new things also. If I’m totally lost for inspiration I usually find some when I’m browsing through magazines. Some of the ads are really little wonders of design. Also setting yourself a challenge for using a particular colour of ink or just the one stamp can get the creative juices going. And whe all else fails there’s always the internet!
Would love to win a free class!

I love to get inspiration from the world around me. I was once inspired by the shirt of a man sitting next to me in my Sunday school class. I also began creating a card in my head after looking at the designs and colors on a menu in a restaurant. Inspiration is all around. Now, different techniques to use all of this inspiration….this class is for me!
