EDITED TO ADD: I apologize for the belatedness of this post. The automatic timer somehow failed and I had to manually post it this morning. Thanks so much for your understanding.)
It is once again that time for one of my favorite blog posts of the month! The Senior Design Team Challenge where they revisit a previously released set in a fresh and inspiring way! This month we have selected Honey Bees, designed by Candice Aguilar. This has been one of my favorite sets for years and I know you are just going to be head over heels with what the gals have designed for you this month!
Honey Bees is a wonderful set that contains different styles of bees. From adorably whimsical to modern and sophisticated, you can achieve a variety of looks all with one set. And I can't begin to tell you how many times I've pulled out just the grass and flowers for various projects! Let me show you what all the gals have created as they revisited this set!

Didn't ALL of the gals do such an amazing job! I love how each of their takes are SO different and really help to bring a fresh perspective to the set! I hope you leave inspired today to go get inky!
P.S. Our monthly newsletter normally goes out today, the 1st of the month. However, this month's issue will not be sent out until Tuesday morning due to some scheduling conflicts. Thanks for your patience with this! I know you will enjoy this month's edition when it shows up in your inbox!
P.S.S. Did you watch the Royal Wedding on Friday? I recorded it and had a few girlfriends over to watch it a bit later in the day. We had a few English-style finger foods to munch on while we watched and had SUCH a good time! Didn't you just ADORE Kate's dress? And Will just looked so happy. I kept thinking about the fact that Diana must be beaming down from above, filled with pride at how both Will & Harry have turned out. Speaking of Harry, don't you think that he should hook up with Kate's sister, Pippa? They would make such a cute couple! *wink*
All of the red & blue dinnerware is from Target.

I enjoyed the wedding so much, especially getting to share the experience with my friends! Did you do anything special to celebrate the Royal Wedding? Which channel did you decide to watch? I thought the BBC's coverage was fantastic! How many times did you tear up? I did no less than 5 times!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by today!

Wowza! That is quite the spread.
I just watched ABC didn’t even think about the BBC. Rats.
Can I come to your house for Harry’s wedding to Pippa? He was just so darn cute.
Love the bees.

Those DT honey bee inspirations are too cute – every time I see a stamp set revisited, it totally makes me want to add it to my wish-list. Again 😉
I loved watching the wedding over here in the UK – the BBC coverage was fabulous, and I wept too. It was all so happy 😉 Your party spread looks fab too!
I sat and diecut a ton of red, white and blue fabric flowers for some blog candy. Very patriotic, hehe!

I always love a peek into your everyday life Nichole. Your Royal Wedding party table looks so beautiful, you must have had such fun.
Anne Hartschlag says
How do you do it all? You have small children, a husband, a business that is thriving and yet you take the time to do this for your friends. You are amazing. I have to agree with the others about seeing your house. I know your new home is beautiful just as you are.
Ros Crawford says
Wow your food looks amazing!! So lovely that you all celebrated with us here in the UK … It was an amazing day and a beautiful wedding …
vicki dutcher says
Gosh you decorate a table as fabulous as you make cards!
Kathy H says
Amazing cards and amazing table spread for you and your friends! I must admit I was not very interested in the royal wedding. I have watched snippits here and there but did not engage in all the hoopla. I watched every bit of Diana and Charles’ wedding and felt nothing would really ever match that one. No offense meant to William and Kate!
Sandy Kay says
Wow, your table has my mouth watering! Beautiful! And thanks for showcasing honeybees! I contributed to the sentiments! I did see parts of the wedding and it was beautiful. What was on my mind mostly that day was watching my daughter on Wheel of Fortune that evening!
Coco says
Wasn’t it a lovely wedding! And it looks like you celebrated in elegant style! This was the second time I watched a royal wedding with my daughter, although she was only 22 mos. old at the time of the marriage of Charles and Diana. William and Kate seem very much in love and comfortable together, and we wish them so much happiness. (I wonder, will Kate’s modest yet classic style have an influence on fashion?) Thanks, Nichole.
Kelly in Canada says
I think there will be a few more years before Harry settles down. He keeps gravitating back to the same girl so I think Pippa is out of luck. I kept thinking how confident and happy Kate looked and remembered how overwhelmed Diana looked. I’m so glad that the royal family learned from the past and gave Kate time to grow and prepare for her life as a royal. She and William looked so genuinely happy. That’s what made me teary-eyed.
Chris says
Your tea party looks good enough to grace The Ritz, Nicole! I am so glad that you enjoyed our Royal Wedding – I was lucky to watch it live all the day through on our BBC – nobody does a special occasion better!
UK-Ann says
So cute to see your Royal Wedding celebrations – the tea looks super!!

Fabulous table setting, wish I could have attended as well.

Your table presentation and tea party idea? Fantastic! I was 13 when Charles and Diane got married and was up at 5:00 to watch. This time I was up with MY 13 year old daughter at 5:00 watching. She was able to watch up to the return to Buckingham Palace before heading to school. She watched the kiss after school. My son is 16 and the teachers at his school had laptops with a live feedjust amazing.
Laura Bassen says
wow, you are a great host!! I watched the wedding with my daughters and ate frozen pizza, not as nice as strawberry water!!!

Hi Nichole! My sister hosted a tea party at her house for the royal wedding. She had all sorts of dainty little sandwiches and desserts, and several delicious flavors of tea. She had taped the wedding (ABC), and we all watched it while eating the food and sipping tea. It was really FUN! And I agree, Pippa and Harry would make a very handsome couple 🙂
Kimberli Sarsfield says
What a fun, little Royal tea party you had! I love going to a local hotel in Denver when we visit for High Tea. You would have made them proud! And Kate’s dress and hair–stunning! As far as the Honey Bees stamp set, I’m in love all over again!
Meredith says
I watched most – forwarded through some. They are a beautiful couple! I LOVE your food and set-up… everything looks delish, and I love a well presented table!
SueB says
I watched it as it happened and LOVED every minute. Catherine is a beautiful person – very poised and elegant without being stiff and stuffy. I look forward to seeing what they do with their life as a couple. My husband recorded it and has actually watched it more than I have. Love your table. What fun.
Jane says
You are so fun!!! What a gorgeous spread!!
I LOVED everything about the royal wedding…and Harry and Pippa…HELLO!! I too thought of Diana that whole time…her boys have so much of her in them!!
freckleface says
Of course I watched the wedding… on BBC website at work first and then on BBC taped at home in the evening… fast-forwarding to the good bits!! So nice to have some happiness in the news from time to time! Great buffet you provided there! Your pictures are making me very hungry though as it is about an hour away from lunchtime here in Europe and I am sitting at my desk drooling!!

Your wedding tea is just amazing! YUM…such wonderful things you served! How fun that would have been, to share the joy of Will and Kate with friends. So happy you got to do that; wish I had been invited to the same type celebration!!! 😀
Melissa says
What a wonderful idea….sounds like such a fun way to spend an evening with girlfriends. Would love it if you could share your recipes or links to your recipes!
Pamela says
Love your table setting & food – all looks soooo good. I to said that Harry should be looking a Pippa – that would be a “hottie” couple, just looking to have fun. Can you imagine those holiday celebrations!! I remember watching his mother’s wedding and watching this family grow up. I hope they continue to be happy and that if he learned one thing – don’t follow in his father’s footsteps.
Mendi Yoshikawa says
Your table is beautiful! It has my favorite colors and that blue patchwork pillow of yours is to die for! Did you make that? I agree with someone else who said they can’t wait to see the tour of your entire house. 😉
P.S. The cards are great too! 🙂
Winnie Uffelmann says
Love your royal wedding party! My jane Austen book club had a Royal wedding tea party on Sat (as we had to work on Friday). We wore fun hats and gloves and lots of yummy food. I am happy to have seen such a beautiful celebration.

Cannot wait to do the tablescape and the food. Everything looked wonderful!

I’m a total fan of The Royal Wedding. I wore my Tiara to work the day before the big day. It was interesting to see who got it and who didn’t.
What a terrific party you had, just beautiful & great photos.
It’s time for High Tea!
JeriO says
I love your tea party spread. It does look so festive. I like the look of the individual egg & cheese quiches. Could you share the recipe for those please? They look like you make them in muffin pans.
Thanks!
